Good morning.
Start of another week for those working still
.
Herself is off to bingo today...
We finally got the spa out of the bark hut
and onto the ute, cost me 20 bucks at the tip... rip-off Basterds.
Will spend some of the day cleaning up on the hut, other than that I have nothing planned
6 degrees outside... fireplace is keeping inside warm, I hope that bloody wind buggars off today.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Its around 7° here, might get to 18° or so, if we're lucky. The wind isn't much help.
Today's mission is to sort out a few things and pack the car for a quick trip south to Mulwala. Terrie's dad is a bit less flash than usual. Doctors report wasn't a that good. We will leave around 4am tomorrow for a long drive south.
We went up to Brissy last night to see a live show at the theatre. Had a great night. It was good to see a big crowd out on a Sunday. Mostly oldies, most probably will have a little sleep in today.
Not much else to report.
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.

Morning all 16.6c here with 16c the overnight minimum and heading to 33c again. Lungs starting to fill again my usual welcome to Darwin. Started my atibiotics and steroid trying to get it early.
Our friends where we are staying are Greek and last night was family night so plenty of good Greek food. Took myself home early as not a bone in my body which did not hurt. Hip joints doing a rapid down hill so will be organising for the replacement of the right one when we get home.
Deborah hope your sales inprove and every one improves cheers Robert

Re: Good morning daily
G'day Dot, good to see you're feeling better, don't know about having a way with words, didn't have an education other than life which did require one to be able to talk their way out of some situations and got a bit of practise doing that. Yes the Rump is pretty bald, which is easily noticed when his comb over goes awry (had to look up that word to make sure it's the right context).
Still raining here, that's 2 days non stop heavy rain and the world outside is very wet, with puddles where there's never been puddles and very wet dogs. Always hilarious watching Bindi drop her load when it's raining she stands on tip toes and moves along trying to not get wet leaving a trail of blobs behind her. Same with pissing, she hops on one leg streaming it out behind her, then she bolts for the house with her ears down and eye almost shut looking miserable.
Dax just wanders along does his business then proceeds to sniff the world until he realises he's getting very wet and heads for home. Then they stand inside the entrance and wait to be dried off, looking very bedraggled, miserable and damp. But as soon as their breakfast starts to happen they perk up and sit waiting, at the moment breakfast for them is, watermelon ($2.00kg this week) followed by a banana and home made peanut butter on toast which they love. I have avocado and banana on my toast, but don't give the dogs avocado.
Think they may be a bit spoilt, last night we had a curried bean, chick pea, vegetables and pumpkin stew, they cleaned their bowls up in a flash then jumped on their couches and went to sleep. Have to be careful with the curry mix, as some spices aren't good for dogs. One day made a mistake and some chilli powder ended up in the food, they scoffed it down and then looked very distressed, bolting for the water bowl and pushing each other out of the way. I tried the meal and realised it was really hot, so got a couple of bananas for them and they were fine quickly, but next day dropping their loads was a bit funny, nothing like hot burning shit to wake you up and sliding your bum along the ground just doesn't work, but jumping in a dam sure makes a difference.
Still raining heavily, but wind has dropped, will have to check the outside rain gauge when it stops. Enjoy your day everyone.
Re: Good morning daily
"peanut butter" I believe that peanuts are a no no for dogs...but...I used to grow peanuts for us when we still had the farm...Carol's little dog knew when they were ready for picking and mostly beat ne to them ...;she absolutely loved them...

Re: Good morning daily
Arrived home around 9:30 last night. Managed to get a speeding fine coming through Tailem Bend, not paying attention when the limit drops from 80 to 60, Police car behind the barrier 90* to the sign, lights came on, but no where to pull over with a 10 mtr motorhome and car on a trailer. Probably a good 100 mtrs down the road till there was enough room to get 3/4 off the road ..... could have been worse, the 7 pin plug had fallen out of the trailer socket on the motorhome and only 3 pins left, so no light bar working and no trailer lights .... the lady Police officer let me drive further up the road and fit a replacement plug I had ... didn't notice the indicators didn't work either, so got sort of lucky, just waiting to see how savage the fine will be, 72 in a 60 zone .....

Re: Good morning daily
Bernie, peanut butter is fine for dogs, it's solid peanuts which can give them problems as they can get stuck in their digestive system if they don't chew them up.
