Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. We are up near Coolac now, having left Mulwala at 4am. It's 10° here and BoM has issued a few weather alerts for today. So far no high wind or rain yet, but time will tell.
Safe travels all those out and about. Stay warm and dry, if you can.

Edit, just going past Jugiong now. It's less than 3° here, at 7.30am.ò The car temp thingo is flashing, and a low outside temperature warning has come on.

Good morning.
I had a busy day. I have completed one side of the shade shed with shade cloth.
Plus I have four of the pavers in the ground... only four to go 🤔.
Had a visit from the neighbour over the back, he brought back some gear I lent him a few weeks ago 😁
That wind is still a pain... not as strong as it has been...
Today I will try and finish the other side of the shade shed....
And the rest of the pavers...if I had sand it would be a easy job, but no sand locally I would have to drive to either Maryborough is Bundy to get some 😡😡😡
Phone sez 11 heading to 24.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. We had a tiring but uneventful trip home yesterday. It started off quite cool, but the day just got warmer. It was 23° when we stopped for lunch just near Karuah.
I'm looking forward to wearing shorts today.
Nothing planned for today yet. Terrie has a days work at the local school, so she will be totally done when she gets home. I'll probably get the washing and mowing sorted while she's working.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Did you get home ok, George?
Looks good Bernie. Paving is my least favourite job I reckon.
Cheers

Late morning all.

Went to Taggerty to load up with wood. Nigel reckons south of Syd and west of Adelaide are in for a chilly day to two.

Forget the batten downs and do the rug ups.

Good morning.
I didn't finish the shade shed, what I thought was going to be an easy job... changed... remaining shade cloth was not quite the same colour...drats...so I will buy new when next in Maryborough 😡
And I twisted my back putting the fasteners up ready for when I can finish the job...
The remaining four pavers are still waiting 😁😁😁. Maybe today..
Jon how far is it from your residence to Taggerty??
Keep safe.

Good morning All. 17* and light rain with more forecast.

Following our Taggerty get together my trip home in the bus has been a real nightmare.

It started off with headlights failing during my night time drive to Jugiong then, on the way to Wollongong the engine thermometer was showing varying temps and I found that the fan belt was slipping at full adjustment. As I had a hospital appointment to attend, my son Guy drove me home and the bus was left with him to obtain a pair of belts which, as it turned out, were available from Newcastle, just about 5km from home so Guy ordered two on line.

Then the saga began, when Guy fitted the belts he found that one was tight and one loose and on inspection found that despite being the same part number they were different belts. After contacting both the supplier and Dayco he was advised to return them to the supplier who would return them to Dayco who would replace them with a matched pair by sending them to my local supplier.

As Guy was coming to our place to see his sister Leonie, who was visiting from England, he bought the belts with him and I delivered them to the supplier in order that they be returned to Dayco. A week or so later new belts arrived in Newcastle and I had to pay freight for them to be sent to Wollongong where Guy fitted them.

On Wednesday I caught a train to North Wollongong and walked to Guy's workshop, ran the motor and decided that all was well but then thought it best to drive approx 30km south to Guy's home as a test and stay the night prior to heading home Thursday but, when I was about to leave, couldn't find my wallet which contained a couple of hundred dollars along with every card etc which one requires to survive these days. I seached Guy's house and the bus before heading bck to his workshop, looked everywhere there, retraced my steps to the railway station as I had, on exiting the station, removed my Opal card from my wallet to check off.

I had a physio appointment for Friday morning so Guy gave me some money, in case I needed to buy fuel to get home and I headed off. The trip was going really well until I was driving in the middle of three lanes along General Holmes Drive past Botany Bay. A driver on my left decided to change lanes without looking and crashed into my front left corner and door. Luckily, I have a rear door where my batteries etc reside as I couldn't open the front door. Luckily, I was able to continue home after exchanging pleasantries without further problems.

Once home I set about contacting credit card suppliers to put a stop/hold on them while checking that they hadn't been used by someone else and lodging a claim with Ken Tame.

The bus/MH is parked up the road ready to be taken to a repairer, if I can find one capable of purchasing and fitting a similar caravan door as the company which fitted them is no longer around.

Yesterday, after my physio appointment I decided to do another serious search for my walled and, guess what, I found it. It had fallen off the bed headboard and landed between the sidewall and a milk crate of similar colour. Unfortunately my credit cards are now unuseable but I do have my driver's licence.

A couple of photos.
