Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning all.

How Terries dad is ok.

Not sure Dave. On heat is the major problem. Trouble is everything is not accessible.
Yesterday worked ok all day. So here's hoping.

Picking up Lucas's car today. He's a bit excited.

Good afternoon All.
I'll try again re MH damage.

After lodging an insurance claim I began searching for a repairer but, as it was fitted with a caravan doo in lieu of the original bi-fold doors noone was prepared to take it on, particularly as there are now no doors of the size required.

I managed to locate a very similar door of the same size on Gumtree however, it is located in Ballina, som 950km away. The seller has been able to find a courier prepared ton transport it for $110 but, as I paid for the door and transport via Paypal, the seller needs to get the money from Paypal to pay the courier but Paypal are withholding the money for up to 21 days. The seller is a lady pensioner with very little finance and I may have to pay the freight again, directly to the courier in order for them to deliver.

If I can sort this out and get the door I will withdraw my insurance claim and do the repairs etc myself.

Life wasn't meant to be easy.

Thats a pity our timing wasn't a bit better George. We have now left Tara and are heading down the Newell, currently near Moree. Heading to Mulwala. If I had have been home I could have brought it down for you.

I had to buy a door, pull it to pieces and remake it to fit the Mazda, still got that one. The one I fitted to the Hino suffered from heat distortion, same as the one on the Fuso. The one on Big Bus is still there 24 yrs later, built that one myself :D The bolt I used for a bottom hinge tore through the steel tubing in a big wind storm ... well, the steel pin in the rivet that made up the top hinge fell out and let the wind catch it .... so there were extenuating circumstances ;)

Why not just buy some steel hollow square and make on George?
