Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. Its cool again here, had a few showers overnight. Not enough to bother the rain gauge though.
Did a bit of cooking yesty, while the womenfolk were off visiting. They had a nice roast beef with all the trimmings when they got home.
You're lucky that never hit anything important Jon.
How much did the airco and the ADB set you back Bernie?
I've been looking at that model myself, to replace the old Coleman unit on the Winny.
Not much else to report.
Have a top day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

John we had a similar thing happen years ago when we were being overtaken by a semi on the freeway, son was asleep in the drivers side rear seat with his head aginst the window in aSubaru wagon. The truck flicked up what had to have been a piece od steel judging by the subsequent damage, it hit the window on the other side of the glass and fortunately the pillar behind which took the brunt of the impact and apart from being rudely awoken the son was ok as was the window apart from a line of chips across it, the rear pillar was caved in for about 100mm and 25mm deep so was a very lucky escape.

Good afternoon All.

Good news for me, the replacement caravan door was picked up from Ballina yesterday and the freight co advises delivery Monday, just before we head for Kyneton on Tuesday. I still haven't been able to contact the seller, i think she may be in hospital.

I will have a task ahead when we return after 2 weeks away.

What caravan door    Left a voice message for the man to ring, (no call) Tang him again this morn left a message and 5 mins later a call. It was supposedly on its way BUT apparently not, now they (the company) have none at all so it will take up to 1month to make one WTF, love the interaction between business's and clients, when was he going to let us know?? Going to contact the insurance C/o and ask for out $$ back and interest.Next Bitch, took both pr of my new glasses back this arvo, told the person I can't use them and my old ones are better?? he gave some BS response and mad another appointment for Monday. I said I may as well give these to the op shop or chuck em out as I can't use them. I had no idea of what he was yapping about , more or less said I should have the comp screen about 30cm from my face BUT couldn't believe I tried that and still the new ones were RS. Sticking to my old scratched ones and i think I will be asking for my $$$ back. How say you all? Anyway we are home and having toasties for tea. You sure were lucky Jon. and you certainly were lucky Peter and Sandra.. Cooling down now.

Hi Dot, I am currently using glasses, multi focals, from 3 prescriptions ago. the last two pair are next to useless. Just as well I retained the old ones.

Bruce bought glasses from a very well know 2 for the price of one optometrist, he had his eyes tested a second time when the new glasses were useless, the second ones were useless too, I took them back & told them that they were no bloody good, to which the woman replied, “don’t swear at me” 🤣 anyway she gave me a refund.
We went to an independent optometrist, didn’t tell him about what had transpired, after he tested Bruce’s eyes he told Bruce, no good prescribing glasses for you, you need to have cataracts removed from both eyes, he sent us to an eye specialist to have same removed, after which Bruce had eyes tested again & new glasses prescribed which were good.
Unfortunately the beginning of this year Bruce had the massive bleed in his right eye causing wet macular degeneration, the eye is improving slowing after injections, still not good vision, he now has to have eyes tested again & new glasses.

Good news George, hope your door arrives Monday, wishing you & Julie a good holiday, enjoy.
Shirley & Bruce.
