Good morning All. raining here.
Luckily, I managed to get the MH back into the yard yesterday morning. Due to the amount of traffic which passes our place, and the narrow gateway thru which I have to access I always have to get it in or out early on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
Yesterday I went out at 6am to prepare for the entry only to find all windows, including rear vision covered in heavy dew and it took me until 7 to get them clear enough to drive.
The entry to the yard was the best for some time and I only held up about 4 cars.

Re: Good morning daily
Cleaned the stuff of the back on the truck yesterday, a ratchet strap on each side behind the softside pantec body anchored to the container one side and fence posts the other side ... and progressively drove the truck out from under it. Then a trip to the house, changed the burnt off tyre for the spare, the valve stem develop a hole all by itself, so back off with the wheel, get the valve stem replaced, back on the trailer. Moved the Kombi back behind the safety fence, after dismantling part of it, dragged the trailer around and hooked up on the Ford ...... no tie down straps, just the remains that didn't burn ...... back to the workshop yard and find enough bits to tie the Kombi on the gypsy trailer, load it up using the winch, surprisingly that still worked .... dark time by then, did a crap job of tying the wheels onto the trailer resulting in it rolling backwards and forwards for the 5 km trip to the workshop yard .... but I got it there without loosing it .... very happy with that days effort.
Today, shovelled and swept the remaining burnt and melted bit of the back of the truck, filled a wheely bin twice, then messed around with the remains of the two torque multiplier wrenches burnt in each fire .... got one sort of working enough to undo a couple of the nuts on the big bus wheels, gunna see if the fit they truck or if I have to swap the tyres over onto the truck rims, loaded Brian's scooter chair (that also survived the house fire) into the back of the Ford and that was the end of me for the day ... can't believe how heavy that thing is ..... now to see what tomorrow holds

Goodness Terry! I don’t know where you get your fortitude (guts) from but I just admire how you are just hitting it all head on. You and Margaret have our admiration.

T1, we can only imagine the sh.t that you and Marg are going through at the mo'. You are in our thoughts, and I was gunna say prayers, but I'm not really that religious, but I'm sure you get my drift. And we just hope that you can move forward from here. And get back on with your life.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
Thank you both for your thoughts and good wishes. Every time I go to the house, I can see what was filmed by the neighbour, we were there by that point. Watching the motorhome and garage burn was hard enough, but the wind coming up and taking the fire from just the front veranda to engulfing the whole house is what seemed to be seconds, but also in slow motion like there was something I could have done to stop it ..... it seemed to take no time at all for the fire to take out the inside walls and the whole lot crumbling into a fireball rushing back to the trees etc behind .... I really thought the whole hill side was going to go up ...... I still see it all unfolding and the charcoal remains of things that I can identify in each room ..... it sort of gets easier as time goes by, but we haven't started listing the contents of the house and garage and garden shed yet ..... that will really bite .....
But, thinks still have to be done, what we have left has to be moved some where safer, regroup and sort out what to do from here.
Maybe the Big Bus fairies are angry that work has been abandoned ....... not that those lazy buggers did much

Good morning everyone.
Chin up T1...
It's raining here and maybe for a few hours.... hoping...
Yes Dave I will be taking photos.
I have been searching the web but can't find a video of the install, if anyone can find one it would be appreciated...I found one that mentioned that the new Dometic fresh jet 7 will fit in any existing aircon hole... that sounds good...cept... always something A..I don't know where it will fit with my solar panels...the old aircon is all undone and is just sitting on the roof.
Our daughter is arriving this morning and dropping off her little nipper caravan, I'm changing the solar panel for her and doing a lithium battery change and wiring her new fridge...no rest for the wicked
.
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. It's cool and fresh, but no rain here.
Looks like it's bucketing down up north.
Bernie, that's why I said, take lots of photos please. I couldn't find anything for that model either. Maybe you could become a You Tuber
I'm off to Corowa this morning to see an old mate over there, he isn't real flash at the mo'.
Not much else to report.
Enjoy your week everybody, safe travels.

Good morning 14c, overcast sun hiding this morning, we’ve had showers & more predicted suppose to reach 20c
Our athletes achieved awesome results, really enjoyed watching the excellent coverage of the Olympics, always enjoy watching sports, time for a change have to wait 4 years for the next games.

Fog/mist has arrived while I’ve been typing can’t even see up the lake now, another inside day for me.

Re: Good morning daily
A quick Google search says it fits in the same dimensions as the Ibis 4, but that didn't fit where the previous version fitted. They extend further to the rear, so if the solar is close to the aircon and it is an earlier model than the Ibis 4, ya gotta move the solar.BernieQ2 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 5:53 am Good morning everyone.
