Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Negotiated a good price for the Winnie this afternoon, so we are the new owners ...... the price was good enough to cover the costs, even if the motor has to come out to do the job and 20 new valves and 20 hardened valve seats as well as the gaskets etc ...... the catch is, it seems that all the parts will have to come from the states ...... but we'll know more once the heads are off.
I wish you all the best Terry.

It's evening here, just a couple of showers today and around 16deg tops. I'm getting my bus ready to sell, got my eye on a 1994 coaster bus with a Hdj80 engine in it, same as my cruiser and a 6 speed gear box, not sure of the make. It's a working hire bus, but the business has gone down the drain and it has to be sold fast and been quoted price well below $10000, with just 236000klms on the clock, A/C and still with seats. So would have to fit it out and would look forward to doing that in a 24ft bus

By the way the new spirit of Tasmania ferries with first one arriving this or next month, will have dedicated dog friendly cabins, with deck space for them to exercise and do their business. About time to, there can be up to 100 dogs on the ferry, 90% in vehicles and lots of them aren't happy with the conditions. My two handle it pretty well, but would be nice if they were with me, will be interesting as to the cost of a pet friendly cabin, probably exorbitant.

Also been working on the bike, put on a sissy bar and rack, dash/rear cam (without a dash ) been negotiating getting made a set of big leather panniers and cool lockable brackets as well as doing a bit of cruising when conditions are right, which at the moment isn't often especially with the winds we are getting. Also decided to start surfing again, been watching people surf at a local surf beach and saw a few mature people riding SUP's, ( stand up paddle boards). Decided to get me one and been watching gumtree for any that come up at a reasonable price, a few days ago up came a pro wave master wave ski and as I used to ride a wave ski, went and bought the bloody thing in my enthusiasm. Now have to get a wetsuit, Gath helmet and put the roof racks on the cruiser to carry it. Should be interesting not having surfed for about 25 years and this is a ski for the real experienced, so hopefully won't kill myself and can make it work. Talk about the young being irrational and taking risks, at 79, not sure if my head is way ahead of my bodies ability, but at best will get fit and have some cool fun and worst end up on life support  8-) .

Good morning.
No not cutting the roof beam Dave, I think with my measurements I'll be ok, the solar panels won't need to be moved... I hope 😁 that would be a pain in the ars job, they weren't put up to be removed...
Neighbour had something to do yesterday so the aircon is still waiting on the shed...the same today...he won't be available...

Sooo, Terry will have to buy new up market overalls can't use just anything working on a Winny😜

And NP out shopping for lycra so he can go play in the sea..😁
Life is good...

Carol had a win at bingo 😁😁
Today I'm going to install the frame the aircon sits on...I'm that confident 🤔🤔
Kid's were in Bicheno last night
Keep safe.

Good morning everyone. We are off to a gloomy overcast start here today. No rain though, yet.
We went over to Cobram and Tocumwal yesterday for a bit of a look, had lunch at the golf resort. We will have to go back for a proper stay, sometime in the future.
I'm going to head down to a mates place for a few days R&r, I need a bit of a change of scenery.
Not much else to report.
Take care everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

Morning folks looks like a nice day out, will do breakfast for the good lady then out for my morning walk. Slowly increasing the distance but the hip is starting to feel it.

Went to talk to the financial advisor at centrelink only wish I had done it before applying for the pension. Wondered why it takes 3 months for approval and found out they are behind that far and the young ones these days can not think outside their box and end up with people asking for reviews which chews up more time.

Take care and have fun cheers Robert

Would they be those white paper looking dust cover overalls Bernie  The fun and excitement of getting these heads off starts this morning, I wonder how the fibreglass engine hatch thingy is attached to the floor and firewall? If I can take that out, life will be much easier.
looked at ordering these parts out of the states, they are talking mid Oct to get them here .... seriously thinking of a slow trip back to Mannum where I'll have the tools etc and it would be less time critical ....... if worst came to worst, a complete crate motor is only around $5,000 US, get the Winnie on a float truck back to Mannum if it goes bang and sort it from there ...... maybe I should become a member of the CMCA again and get the Ken Tames insurance package where they will get the Winnie home if it dies .... never had KT insurance, so no idea just what it covers

I'm hoping that you're joking about the Ken Tame 'get it home' package. From what I've seen on farcebook, it costs extra now to get someone out to change a tyre on the weekend. But who believes farcebook anyway. :D
