Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Spent the day charging vehicle batteries with a solar panel that seemed to have survived the fires, got the Merc going and moved it out of the way, the truck is gunna take a while longer to charge ..... the Mazda appears to have a starter motor fault the hadn't fixed itself while it's been sitting here for the last 10 mths, ya just can't rely on the self repairing functions on these things it seems

Used the Ford to drag it backwards and forwards and backwards again, thing kept self steering and heading off the concrete, ended up tieing the steering wheel to the door pillar to make it go the way I wanted.

Once I'd cleared a big enough spot, I shuffled the Winnie till it was across the slab with the door facing the hedge/tree, put the piece of timber under the back levelling legs to gain the extra height so when the front legs were fully extended, the front wheels were off the ground ..... a requirement so Margaret can position the steering wheel in the desired position to support the phoe for game playing or You Tube watching while the hand hangs out the window with the rollie smoking away .... somehow this is considered not smoking inside  but we all have our crosses to bear ;)

That was about the day consumed while Margaret and Brian got in some retail therapy that took until just on dark to complete :P

Yet to see what tomorrow brings, Margaret received some advice from a regular customer who in his previous life, was an insurance agent. Seems NRMA is attempting to pull a swifty (fancy that, and the ad says they are here to help) they are actually required to continue the liability insurance for a further 12 mths, pay the equivalent or 12 mths rent over and above the insured value, and pay for the demolition over and above the insured value .... luck I delayed getting the fence to replace the NRMA rental fence (that they have to pay for over and above the insured value because it is part of their liability requirements) if we had signed off before we travelled back to the Illawarra, they would have gotten away with it ......

Good morning everyone, from a frosty Pipers Creek. It's 0⁰ here and won't get much warmer for a few hours yet. The little bloke is still asleep, so I'll stay in bed until he wakes up. Then it will be full on go til late tonight.
T1, I'm glad you are back in Mannum now, and have a plan.
It sounds like you may have had some good advice on what the insurance people should do. It's an unfortunate fact of life that insurance companies are a necessary evil.
Stay safe and sane everybody. I hope all our sickies are on the mend. Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers
David

Good morning folks.
It was another day in paradise... especially if you were a traveller.
I finally finished the switch in the daughters van, so when she puts it in her shed it will totally disconnect the fridge from the battery 😀.
Jon apparently Nigel doesn't no where we live 😡😡 the predicted rain has passed by "elsewhere".
I put a post on the local Biggenden forum for a wheely walker for Carol and we are picking one up today... hospital orders for Carol's upcoming opp.
Nothing big happening here today as far as I know 😀
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Good morning Dave.

Morning all.

I'll let Nigel know.

Are you saying you wanted rain but Nigel didn't deliver?

If you are, please remember, he just an honest art dealer from Nigeria.

I think today might be a trip to the barber, needs a lot of a trim on the beard, got lazy, and a summer hair cut ..... maybe not as short on the top so I can flick it back like a '55's fonzy to put a double layer over the thinning spot to save the skull getting sunburnt ...... I could wear a hat I guess

Then a trip to Mt Barker to interrogate TotalTools as to where all my bonus $$ went, then probably get yet another EGO chainsaw and brush cutter/whipper sniper .... and see if the do a blower/vac unit to collect up all the cathead thorns and the flowers from these mungrel trees that keep sprouting up all over the block ..... and a weed sprayer pump pack ..... and start the process with tearing NRMA a new one

An honest art dealer from Nigeria. Yeah, Right.
I reckon Dot might remember.

It's only 11.20am and Cyclone Jack has worn me out. I need a nana nap. But, I reckon if I drop my guard for even a second there will be three pet lambs in the house.
