I finally done nothing yesterday.
I could get used to it..
I done some gardening... but I don't think of that as work...
My brother got in touch with me yesterday...he has some big problems with his health probably won't make his next birthday I have informed his two sons... they don't talk with him...
We are off to the big smoke today... shopping...

sunny morning. Bit cold. The difference between the bus and the house. Turn the diesel heater on and you're warm in minutes. Not really wondering about how much it's costing. :(

Dave, the rally was good. Bit quieter than Elmore. Probably because of the weather. There are always things to do that match your preferences. And a bit like Taggerty, you can just wander about and talk to people or hole up in the bus if you prefer.

The heater doesn't cost very much to run and is usually very effective. I was thinking of hooking one up in my lounge room instead of running the 3.5 hp reverse cycle split system to get the temperature that makes breathing easier.

Each of the previous motorhomes had a diesel heater, they work great, this motorhome runs on LPG .... the difference in price between a diesel heater and an LPG heater is staggering, so I guess I'll need to carry three fuels, or a lot of battery and solar and use the rooftop rattler.

I thought about just storing the heat, either a big, well insulated, water tank and use hydronics to heat the inside, common in European RVs where the temps are a tad more extreme, then using the gas/electric water heater to keep the tank temp up, or a heat pump, or the Electrodacus method of storing the heat in concrete ..... but I think weight might be the down side there .....

A big diesel tank full of winter fuel does sound much easier ..... a converted LPG tank, so it doesn't dump diesel into a fire

I could always use the Bunnings method over the check out area, a long combustion pipe looped around, a gas burner and air blower one end and out the exhaust at the other ..... now, where should I mount it

Maybe you could revisit these thoughts after you finish the solar rooftop upgrade. We have only used our diesel heater a handful of times this year, but we have had a few campfire nights.
I'll go and take a pic of the window awnings now that my memory has been jogged.

If you fit a big enough diesel tank, then you could convert the Onan to diesel and use that for electricty too.

Then no need for solar. and if the tank is really big, you could get an electric heater blower and not need the diesel heater.

I was gunna fit the diesel tank where the Onan generator was, might as well use the space and weight for something useful eh
