Moree

Post by GregnDee »

,,...had intended to stop at the weir at Tilpa, but ran out of gas and Greg had forgotten to refill the spare, so to save our fridge contents we headed to Bourke, 300 Kms in one day, not my idea of fun, especially as we broke down in the middle of nowhere....Greg fixed it....temporarily....so we ended up last night free camping near Brewarring...nice spot by the river......Greg wasn't keen on staying in Bourke....all the shops had steel mesh security on them .....and we just felt the area was a bit 'intimidating'.

So we got our supplies in Brewarring and today we Got to Moree...we have a few things to fix...and the dust has got into a cupboard, so I have a cleanup and Greg has some sealing to do.

Staying in the showgrounds for a couple of days....

Cheers
Dee

"...and the dust has got into a cupboard" - Alas a constant problem with me, quite a nuisance. I hope your other problems were fixed and you had a good session or five in the hot springs at Moree!

Moree showgrounds good, $19 a night I think w water etc. however.....we are now at BOOMI just 90 Kms north, the spa here is great, not chockers, and the little community park next to the artisian bore spa and pool is clean and new.... $15 pn + $4 a day for pool.

Still have a few niggles ....water hose connector for mains connection is broken so we have to find somewhere to get a replacement. Couple of other things....one of the back windows on the car is shattered by a stone thrown up, have to find a car wreckers, but that's all part of doing a trip like this!

Oh and the caretaker at Moree said we could use as much water as we want and no problems washing the car and caravan in situ.

Take care.....give us a hoi if you are near Goondiwindi later in the week!
