Bathurst is over for another yr, so back to cleaning the shrouded area of this valve. I was concerned that it could have been a piston strike, but seeing that teardown of the V8 version, I see there is a section of the head that forms a shroud around that side of the valve to redirect the inlet charge to the centre of the cylinder. That would also explain why that section of the valve has rubbish trapped under it .....jon_d wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 8:41 amyeah, good luck with that! Different sizes to begin with. But then again, you could shave it down like the valve stems. Any update on the engine? As I find failed John Guest fittings, I will be replacing them with PEX "Sharkbite" mustard coloured hose and push connect fittings .... never had one blow out or leak .... certainly can't say the same thing about John Guest stuff
