T1,
I edited for brevity. Note I left the “at home” intact.
My point was that, given the ingenuity of governments and agencies in extracting money from us, they WILL find a way to tax solar energy.
They’re already talking about CHARGING people for supplying their rooftop-generated electricity to the grid, rather than PAYING us for it.
Now, if they used that logic and PAID us to take EVs rather than charging us for them… 🤔

…I probably still wouldn’t have one.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Dot, you are certainly going to hell and back. You keep the bastards honest ;) and don't take any appointment that makes you wait more than a few weeks.xxxx

Shirley, well done. Be thinking of you Thursday. xxx

Had a long slow time building up the display on the the tables today. All the stuff is looking good on them. As I was finishing off the setting up, I remembered a box of plates that was still in the truck. He fetched them, but there was nowhere to display them so they are ready to fill in any gaps that may happen due to purchases.
It's been a long day

The best of the geriatricians (to whom I have been referred to ) only does the public system hence the long weight, There are private ones but I go with the ones my other Drs recommend but I may get in earlier if any issues change or they push for an earlier time. GP said you get seen if you are OLDER than me  and do something weird like chuck a mental in public, hmmm might need to think about this one. Well done Shirley, knew you would beat the other lady, good luck for next week. Our friend Flo and her dog Rosy are up for a couple of days, Flo going to some antique fair so we get to doggie sit and Brian gets to harass her, Brian has been on the bed all day apart from a quick pee outside, he will be up and at em tomorrow. Trying to figure out the solar quizz between the different companies, some are telling out right lies and why are their prices so high compared to the ads on tv ?? Then the roof restorations people, their prices are here and there, how do you know what stuff they use, after last rip off what happens if these go out of business? no comeback.. Sick of getting ripped off so being extra careful maybe to the point of too cautious? Guess who was on the roof again today??? OK time for bed, take care and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D Hope Doone is doing better x

I thought you were putting the house on the market Dottie? Adding more solar will not improve the resale value, so even stipulate it be removed as part of the sales conditions because they have heard the rubbish about the fire risks and increases in insurance, but certainly understand the difference in power bills ..... you can have fixed price power if you don't have solar, but you can't if you have solar, so the high cost of peak power v the next to nothing price offered for solar feed in, often means the power bill is worse if you have grid feed solar.
Remember, as soon as you change anything regarding the solar (that is not deemed as maintenance where like for like is replaced) any deal you had for feed in tariff is gone, you will get what is offered now.

The only way to beat it is to go off grid and battery storage for part of the house. Leave the panels you have, don't even move them, that is considered non maintenance work ..... so you can't even remove them to have the roof painted under them, you will loose your good feed in tariff if you have one.
Instead, have a separate solar array installed with off grid battery storage and inverter system ..... that WILL increase the resale value .... it just depends how much it will cost, if you already have solar and connected to the grid, there are no govt subsidies .....

Flo left me my birthday present not to be opened until the day. I hate having presents around and unable to be opened... Gman has now finished up on the roof gutter cleaning, this was his last time up there. AJ rang me today to see if I wanted more giant opium poppy seeds? why not? No, yes, maybe ... that better, you can put them as answers to what ever you want confirmed ;)

No, don't mess with the solar you already have .... if you have any .... can't remember that far back, this solar question and answer has been running so long .....

Yes, you will waste your money buying "back to grid solar," it will add no value to the house and the money they offer now would take longer than the equipment will last to pay for it.

Maybe, if you plan to stay there, put an off grid solar system in, you could combine that with an electric vehicle if you wanted, take advantage of the very cheap power available at certain times of the day to charge the EV battery, then use that to power some appliances at night or during peak power pricing to reduce you power bill ....

Another great sunny warm day was had admiring my 1st red opium poppy that flowered over night. :o AJ dropped around after her work and was pleased with the cultivation of her seeds. G been testing and replacing stuff in the bus on the advice of a couple of mates. Come hell or high water we are heading off next winter. Hoping to get to NZ next March as long as I can get the house sitter I have approached, have to be particular whom I let look after Brian. Good luck Carol for the knee op this Wednesday, no need to mark these days as now the op can NOT start until everyone that is involved with your op has to be around you when the surgeon asks you all the relevant questions concerning your op even asks you to point to the op site then he marks it then you go off to sleep. I would love to be able to tape the show Housos but on much too late, but so very funny and very true esp the digs at C/link. I'm off to bed now so take care everyone and goodnight x :D Goodnight Shirley x :D Go for the throat on Thursday :D

Dot, good to see you had a gooder day today. Hope you have a lot more of the better days and the sunshine keeps on smiling on you xxxx

My market was exhausting, hence my not turning the computer on, for the weekend. My knee held up ok, but had to be iced as soon as we returned to the van each night. I certainly slept very well.
On the Saturday, the crowd was incredible for the first couple of hours. So many people, all shoving and rushing past. They didn't really look at anything and certainly no buying in that time. Later in the day, we had a few sales and by the end of the day, we had paid for the tables. Sunday was a lot more subdued and we did a few more big sales then. Over all, we had a good weekend, I was very happy with the knee and how it stayed up most of the time. We found that the total raised for the weekend is roughly a quarter of what we usually make at this particular weekend. It is really a sign of the times and not a comment on my products. All the stall holders made similar comments about their bottom lines.

Had a slow drive home today. just not in a hurry. Tomorrow we will have a super slow day, to get over the last few days.

nighty night xxx

Good night Dot, I’ll be trying my best, thanks.

I had my second back bottom tooth removed today by a dental surgeon, fortunately it came out in one piece, certainly sore tonight, told to take Ibuprofen & Panadol every six hours for pain relief & to start same before effects of the anaesthetic injections wore off.

Deborah pleased your knee is improving, slow day sounds good.
Rockman’s sales are unbelievable, I know that they are closing down & so many other clothing sales, certainly a sign of the times, no spare money to spend. :o
