Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

My day started at 0415, had to collect the side car from TNT in Hobart. Got there really early and discovered they don't open for collection until 0930. Whilst sitting there deciding what to do for the next 2hrs, saw a bloke I know arriving and he came over and asked what i was doing. Told him and he went inside and came out and told me to drive into the back of the yard and they'd load the crate as soon as they could, as they were loading trucks for local delivers. Drove in turned off the car and a forklift pulled, with a bass player used to play with, he turned round and came back with the crate, so was out of there by 0800. Collected new Gath hat from a surf shop and was home by 1300 after a feed of oysters on the way.

Hope everyone's day goes and well as mine has so far.

Time to seriously rethink the air conditioning. The IBUS 4 is just not up the task, strangely, the bedroom is the furthest from the air con, yet the coolest by far, so a second unit isn't the answer, I think a bigger cooling capacity unit is needed ... and that requires a split system. I'm back to looking at a ceiling cassette unit, set up to dispense the cold air inside the roof cavity so it comes out the ducting the way it does now, but draws the intake air from the cabin the way it works now.

Bought soe window shade awnings from Amazon and they arrived yesterday .... had plans of getting up early and installing them before the heat set in .... it was already too hot to do that by 6 am, so most of today was spent in bed under the fans and the air con ducts. It's 6 pm here now, and still too hot for the air-conditioning to handle.

The solar on the roof might add a bit of a tropical roof affect, so maybe a cassette wall mount and do away with the rooftop rattler to give a more open flat roof for the tropical roof/solar panels ..... they worked great on the Hino

so a second unit isn't the answer,
I'll just bite my tongue...... I just have a 2.5kw split in the bus. Outdoor unit behind the diff, indoor under the bed. Works well. The roof area can get elevated on 38+ days. A couple of fans helps. And remember, mines a steel box.

A Gath hat is a helmet you wear when surfing, as I ride a wave ski and am strapped in, it helps if your head comes in contact with the bottom or another board. It also has a tinted visor to keep the sun off your face and at my age like to not end up with a skin cancer. Already have some blemishes from years of surfing without one, although did wear a hat and sunglasses at times. Off for a surf before the wind comes up, have a great day Bernie and others.

Good morning everyone.
We finally got some rain, not as much as what I had to drive through coming home from Bundy...
Carol has the bandage off her knee... looks pretty good 😊
The cut not the knee 😜
Now that we have had rain I'll probably winge about mowing.
My next door is still home I can see his vehicle from were I am he is/was hauling cane for the Isis mill...I went past the mill twice yesterday to and fro Bundy and back... and the stack's had no smoke and steam coming from them.so they may be either broken down or finished for the year..
No need to rush home Dave with the amount of rain down the Gold coast...
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning. We spent the night in a roadside rest area just south of Karuah. It's not quiet, as we are only 20m from the highway, but it didn't matter. Surrounded by B doubles this morning. Should be a much more pleasant day for driving, it was 36⁰ in a few spots along the way yesty.
Not sure where we'll finish up today, as Bernie says, it's raining at home.
Safe travels everybody.
Enjoy your Sat morning golf Jon. :D
Cheers

A post forgot to press send a few hrs ago

The rain drops just started here, lasted long enough to get me semi wet while I put stuff away the might be damaged in it rained hard ..... by the time I got back in the Winnie .... the drops stopped. If I'd taken my time, like I knew it was gunna be a Mannum rain storm, I would have only got half as wet and decided the effort wasn't warranted

Todays task is getting the floor and walls cleaned up after a few radiator flush blasts came inside and splattered the walls and floor with brown stuff.
Then, refit the engine cover to see if that helps keep the hot outside better so the air con has a chance .....
