drove a B double with a DAF prime mover. They have a air clutch and brakes, have a tendency to drop their air at times leaving you with nothing and flying down the road
I thought if you lost air, the brakes come on.

Yeah. Scott's Transport from Mt Gambier had a fleet of them just before they went to the wall.
Maybe they ran out of air & are still mobile somewhere never to be seen again?

.... and ...... had many an instance where the maxi brakes applied in a 7 tonne rigid hauling swinging meat, about as affective as a sock hung out the window, even on an 8 wheeler Kenworth when it ran out of going forward and decided to go backwards down the infamous Bulli Pass at the flashing light (first step going up), foot on the brake with all 8 brakes applied until it ran out of air..... I had a firm grip on the door handle, ready to step out and report how spectacular the destruction was as it took out the houses going backwards down the hill ....... it stopped just as it was about to go over the crest, took ages on the starter to get the fuel back up, 8v71 GM's need fuel pressure to inject fuel and the reverse rotation pumped it all out of the fuel rails ......

An empty trailer will lock up the wheels, rarely a fully loaded one ..... unless the pressure hose pops out, then full air pressure goes to the apply side and those black lines you often see on the road headed for the dirt are the result

Probably phrased it wrongly, not completely out of air just enough to make the clutch and brakes inoperable and with a full load going down hill, not a good feeling having to rev the engine hoping to get enough air back in the system for things to work before it hit something. It happened a couple of times to me and one time it actually locked the brakes on the trailers and came to a stop.

The Sodium Ion cells arrived today, so now I can start building the new battery pack for the Winnie, then install the new Victron 12/5000 inverter.

Does that sealer stuff you used on the roof come in white Bernie? I'd like to reseal it before I put the solar up, it will be a very big job if I wait and need to do it later.

Wasn't the first coat you put down black? Was that the actual sealer coat?

Can you get the rubber in white? A black rubber might not fit tight enough to stay on
