"tanks" here--
Ray, keep your chin up mate, you have been there before so it's nothing new.
I'm thinking of you now and on the 11th.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Saw oncologist last week.
PET scan showed more threads of cancer in my liver, and the existing ones are bigger.
He cancelled the immunotherapy sessions, as they were apparently not effective, although they were preventing a decline in my overall health.
Another biopsy scheduled for 11th December, as he suspects the previous one missed the tumours.

Might be time to start that Dubliner Honey Whiskey, or the newer Dubliner Fiery Honey Whiskey ... alternating with a good Durif .... threat the cancer direct, it's not like they can say it'll cause liver damage ...... ;)

All joke aside, hoping for a good result from any further medical procedures

Just back from the Oncologist.
News is not great, but encouraging.
The liver metastases are still growing.
However, he has booked me to start chemotherapy on 31/12/24. (Great start to the New Year!🙄)
I reckon ANY treatment is better than nothing, despite all the side-effects he ran through before asking if I wanted to go ahead.
As I constantly reminded the Drs treating my Myeloma when asked if I wanted to try yet another experimental drug, “If I try and it works, great. If I try and it doesn’t work, I’ve lost nothing, and you’ve gained valuable information. So let’s get on with it.”
He says the chemotherapy isn’t a cure, just a treatment.
That’s what I was told when I started treatment for Myeloma 30 years ago. I’ve been in remission for EIGHT YEARS now, and my oncologist says that, while he can’t call me ‘cured’, I’m the closest thing they’ve got. (Blood tests this week showed Myeloma markers are ZERO!)
So, as I’m undergoing chemotherapy I’m expecting new treatments to be developed which will prolong my life into and maybe beyond the norm.
I’m already planning my 80th birthday celebration… 🎂🥂👍
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Good on you Ray.... So many people complain about the petty little things.
Having courage and a positive outlook is absolutely brilliant.

As David said, it’s not good news but if a positive attitude counts for anything, you will nail it. Thinking of you both and hoping for the best outcome.
Cheers

Not good news Ray, however you can reduce the symptoms of your problem and even reverse it with the proper diet and life style approach. Still amazes me how people totally disregard natural treatments, diet and lifestyle changes for their illnesses, when life can be so much better if we take a natural based approach. After all our bodies aren't designed to live on processed and heavily chemically saturated foods, or diary products, that's why we get sick and our bodies start fall apart and most cancers are caused by our lifestyle approaches. Here's a link for you which if you're really interested in improving your life could help, but it takes effort and dedication to throw away the diet and lifestyle that's killing us for some reason.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articl ... #diet-tips

During my life because of my own medical problems, have gathered a wealth of knowledge regarding natural health approaches, which saved me from death in my late 20's and relieved by body of cancer and have passed it on to others who have had a negative prognosis. Underwent chemo and radiation at Peter Mc Callum clinic back in the 1970s and after 3 treatments decided would rather die than go through that agony, today it's not much different, they still just treat the symptoms with drugs or cut out organs and do nothing about the causes.

Remove the causes of illness and you can stop it's progress and even get rid of it, just simple rational logic and it works, if you have the dedication and determination needed and act before it become impossible to stop. Sadly during my life have come across many looking for a cure, but they want a pill or for the medial profession to do it for them. Was told by the person who taught me how to overcome my problems, "no one can help you but you can learn to help yourself because what you eat and do is what you become health wise and psychologically.

Sadly only one or two have taken the path I took, the rest have all passed away including all my friends who laughed at my approach and today, there's a number of muso friends on that downward path and they refuse to change. You can't get any more stupidly dumb than clinging to the lifestyle and diet that's killing you. But that's the way it is with most people for some reason, they don't want to take responsibility for their lives and leave it to empty hope and a deranged profit growth medical industry. Won't say any more on this subject, because know how it infuriates people to be told they are eating wrongly and should dump their crap diets and lifestyles, when all the media and medical propaganda claim it's cool it's natural to suffer and die before your time and it aids the profit margins of the medical profession and drug companies.

Hope you have success Ray, it's a fight but one well worth undertaking and winning hopefully.

If extended my life by 20 yrs, there would be so many unfinished projects they'd start a museum to house them ... they'd have to, recycling would be such a part of life it would be illegal to dump them ...... not sure that is something I'd feel comfortable with inflicting on future society ;)
