Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Have been out of bed for a few hrs now and I think it is time for a nanna nap. Shirley, glad your nose op has been successful, George had his nose check up and both the surgeon and himself are very pleased. Deborah I hope your pre Xmas sales have been successful as well and your op has been improving daily. Our peach and plumb trees have gone crazy, we are eating as much as we can and even giving it away but it is getting out of control, even the freezer has said ENOUGH :) We were hoping to get to NZ next year but finding a good pussy sitter is harder than one thinks. Had the house roof fixed and what a great job they did, very happy with the whole thing. Their sparkie took down and replaced the solar panels after the job was done. Too hot for me, tomorrow will be a ripper at 40deg, we are going to AJ's for lunch but will be home as soon as the last mouthful is swallowed. Early goodnight everyone :D x Goodnight Tanks x :D

Hi Dot. Good to see you are back. Very quiet Xmas for us up here. Just the two ( and Evie ) of us and it being so hot not much will be done. Going the Mount Barker on the 27th to have a late Xmas with the two sons. I am over this fruit thing. The birds have been giving us hell this year and we have a couple of parrots that have nipped most of the apples off. With the little that we eat I am thinking of pulling all the fruit trees out and that will save us a lot of work as we are getting older.
Been over to Ceduna and Tumby Bay twice in the last couple of months for family affairs. Took Evie (the cat) on one trip. She tolerated it but did not like it much as she likes to go out exploring during the night. Certainly knew we were home as soon as we pulled into the driveway.
Merry Xmas to you and all the forum members. Cheers John and Faye

Welcome back Dot. I hope you are still feeling better than you have been for a while.
I also hope that all my forum friends can have the best Christmas day possible. There are a few that aren't well, and I hope that they can regain their health.
For some of us it's been a pretty crappy year, but with a bit of luck we can all have an enjoyable Festive Season and a much better year in 2025.
Good night everybody.
Cheers
David

Bugger me I was up early this morning getting all the fruit ready plus the cream whipped for the pav, It had blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, peaches and strawberries and it was just so yummy I had 2 big slices. Then out came the trifle but it wasn't half as good as mine if I do say so myself  . Stuffed to the gills and starting to fall asleep it was time to head home. Dam hot as hell George came home to reset the misting fan for the birds and turned on the air con for Brian  For tea I had 4 ripe peaches with boysenberry ice cream. Got a pic of my Claytons daughter in NZ of her son and girlfriend showing off a sparkling engagement ring. :D Think we may have Brian sitters so we can get to NZ next year :D I really hope that next year will be a much healthier one I think we all have had enough for now so wishing all the sickies a get well wish for you all. We now have 2 little baby birds with feathers on, gee they grow fast, OK time for bed I'm stuffed. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Miss Evie x :D

Had a lovely visit today from an old state school friend and his wife. They came over from Ballarat way to see her son for Xmas . Have finished off the turkey and vegs the pav has now all gone but I have started doing a trifle with the left-over sponge and fresh fruit, the rest will be done tomorrow. Out of the 3 fruit vines NOT one has produced this year, mind you they are new this year but the fruit trees ie peaches and plums have outdone themselves and the apples will be next. As usual there is nothing worth watching on tv, hope the new year will be a bit better but I doubt it will. Who amongst us are actually out there travelling? and where are you?. Get well all sick ones , careful on the roads as well. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2ft 6'' aka Peter x :D
PS where is Petels?

Welcome back, Dot, we missed you (well us lady types did and some other gentlemens) Your health sounds like it's improving. xxxx

Today marked the start of the end for our holidays. Our daughter packed up her "tentmahal" and left us before lunchtime. She had a dream run back to Sydney, hoping to replicate that tomorrow. Our awnings have been packed down and various other bits have been added to the list of things done. Daughter has not been able to solve the camera pictures from the phone to the computer. I just give up, She is going to come stay with us for a couple of days later in January and has promised to do some research. There is a glitch here somewhere and we are suspecting the computer had an update a while ago and thats when the problem really hit.

We really have had one of the best Christmas holidays for a very long time. Hoping this positive stuff keeps happening well into 2025

good night all xxx
Deborah

A very slow day indeed but we had the trifle for pudding tonight. Lucky we got it finished though. The time I got up today was 1630hrs. who guessed that time? Mongrel Wattle bird disposed of the 3 black bird babies I had been keeping an eye on, that is the 2nd time they have done that, I hate those birds. Had some nice rain over night but still had to water again. Time to head off, wishing all the sickies a full recovery. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Petels where ever you are x :D
