Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, sounds like you are feeling as crappy as we are at the moment. Take it slowly mate xxxx

We had a good drive home from Forster yesterday, but it was hot and we were tired. The caravan got parked across our driveway, so that we could access the door and get the bulky stuff out of the van. When it came to be time to get the van off the driveway and down it, there were too many cars parked all over the place. We couldn't even back the van up so that our driveway was clear. Mid morning today, there was a little bit of space behind the van. His intention was to try to get the van out and away, but not enough swing room. Instead, he reversed almost right onto the car behind us, but still not enough room to play. We live on a one way street, leading to a public pool and boat ramp. These bring hordes of people with their boats and they park all over the place with empty trailers and they don't care how much space they take. By late afternoon, there were spaces cleared out, enough for us to get the swing needed to get the van into the driveway. My time was limited, so the patrol is still attached to the caravan, sitting at the bottom of the driveway. We will finish the job tomorrow. It was just too hot when we had the chance to get it moving.

We had a wonderful Christmas with the whole family together at Forster, but it's back to normal stuff today. Between our daughter and us, we managed to buy a huge amount of bananas. Today the task was to cook a couple of batches of banana cakes and smother them in thick cream cheese frosting. Each time there was a bowl being finished off, he appeared, ready to clean up the bowls. Sometimes it's just like having a kid in the house. Anyway the cakes are cooked and some will be frozen for another time. They are the easiest cake to freeze, so it's all good.

If you are already up to getting your prescriptions for free, get as many done as you can tomorrow...they will be much dearer on Wednesday.

Good evening All.

Not the best day as we had to have Sean's 18yo Chihuahua, Sammy put down.

Off to bed now, watched the Brisbane tennis doubles with the joker and Nick (the naughty boy) hope he continues to behave as he did tonight. It was a game worth watching as they won. Didn't go anywhere as was too hot for me so maybe tomorrow? So take care everyone and goodnight x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

Hi Dot, is it global warming or us being old enough to remember the same heat events from another century? It was bloody hot here too mate and I joined your stay in bed until late mob, as well. Too hot to sleep, so when you finally get to sleep, try to stay that way. xxxx

We finally had the chance to get the caravan back in it's proper parking spot. It felt good to see it where it belongs. I caught his lordship, up a ladder, on the concrete, trying to clean the van roof. He has promised to call me before anymore ladder climbing. I hate being the one to stop him from killing himself....note to George, ladders are not safe and only used in emergencies or when you have someone to spot for you.

Very sad time for George and family, especially Sean, it is such a hard time in our lives. Thinking of you all mate xxx

We did remember to get the prescriptions to the chemist on time and that's just one job out of the way. Will collect them later in the week when all is quiet. The phone kiosk is right outside the chemist, so I called in and had a screen protector put onto it. It feels very soft now, but I am happier with the screen being safer now. If I have a screen break within 6 months, they will replace screen for free. Can't ask any more than that.

Getting back to work for us. Our first event for the year is this weekend, at Gosford Leagues club. It will be interesting and good to be getting right back into the events things.

night all xxx

18 yrs is a good innings for Sammy, sad when they go but you did the right thing rather than keeping him alive for personal benefit. Crunchy was 14 1/2 when she decided she had a good life and wanted out, it was hard and sad, but the right thing to do when the quality of life isn't there any more.
