Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Have you checked with it disconnected?

Might be the wiring?

It happens!!
These bloody stoopid Suzuki cars need IGNITION on to be able to put any windows up or down. Not just accessories like most cars.
I've been caught 3 times so far with a dead as a maggot battery after going out & opening the windows a very small amount on a stinker day & then not turning off the ignition. Once was over 24 hours but every time a doz hours or so & recovered OK. No doubt a little internal damage but ???
Windscreen wipers are the same deal. Not sure how people would have got on at the drivein on a rainy day?
Then again my FJ had vacuum wipers so needed the engine going anyway!!

That brought back a few memories Bruce. Vacuum wipers at the drive in. :D
3yo Cyclone Jack is in town, and I need a nana nap. He's been full on go since 6am this morning. His latest answer to everything is 'why'. I'm sure most people have had kids, gkids or similar, at that stage.
Cheers

Time for a story...
I was always first in at the drive-in... Carol lived across the road from the entrance.
The midnight shoes were best... for some reason 😛😛.

Another story...my Dad had FX a Holden...
He and eldest brother-in-law made some sort of tin thingy attached to the vacuum to the wipers...
They didn't slow as much as they used to with out it.
Brother-in-law was in the Airforce as a mechanic.

Took me five minutes to work out what you meant.

I had a few early Holden's with vacuum wipers. FC/FE's were an easy fix, just find an EK wiper motor.
The FJ was a bit of an issue. I finished up putting the entire wiper rack from a Morris Minor or Mini in. I think the Mini was 2 speed.

The bus has Commodore wipers and motor. Took a bit of effort to sort it out.... None of those Thunder Bird Virgil wiper arms on it.

Yep, I think I was about 4 when I was asking. But, the penny dropped when I think I was about 45!!! Amazing how things become clearer when you get older. Some things I learnt at tech all of a sudden become mind boggling clear at the weirdest of moments.
