I believe that old saying that you can choose your friends but not your family. Although my son and I have NEVER been anything near close I have the most wonderful relationships with my claytons daughters. They are so loving and protective of me I could not ask for anything better. Some people you click with straight away and some you don't and that is my son and myself, from the minute he was born I felt nothing.

Sadly, around 50% of people undergoing chemo end up having major organ damage caused by the chemo and around 25%, die from the chemo and not the disease. Hope you do better than that Ray.

Chemo postponed a week — platelet count too low.
However, there IS some good news: my cancer count has taken a hammering. Waaay down!
Oncologist was expecting this. The drug being pumped into me is the heaviest of the three possibles.
The other two were in reserve in case I had a bad reaction to #1.
Because I have had ZERO side effects from dose #1, he will boost the percentage in #2 and watch for any reaction.

Good news Ray. Let's hope that the reaction he gets is a "yeah baby, it's going."Because I have had ZERO side effects from dose #1, he will boost the percentage in #2 and watch for any reaction.

NP, what's with this constant bad news about anyone's health approach that doesn't agree with yours? It's worse than a reformed smoker.
