Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Lasted 2 1/2 hrs in the 35* heat, and that was me done for the day. I had the toolbox part way up on the loading ramp onto the truck ..... and over it went ..... not enough enthusiasm left to attempt to stand it up again, on the phone for Margaret to come rescue me  It's not so much the heat, it's being in the direct sun that takes it out of me so quick, not that long ago I was putting in 12 hr days in hotter than that, but not in the sun, I'm guessing that is the difference .... or it's too many birthdays disease ....

Terry, you do know that the other option for 'too many birthday ' disease, is not really an option that should be followed up on.

Maybe unpack some of the higher draws on the big ol' toolbox and start again. Yes, I know it won't be fun.
We have been absolutely belted with rainstorms and a couple of thunderstorms too. We've had over 60mm of rain since about 3.00pm, so far. I have spent a bit of time dodging raindrops and trying to unblock a downspout and stormwater drain. Success with the downspout, massive fail with the storm drain. Both Terrie and I got more than just a little soogy. The yard is now a swamp, so I now know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Lost the car at Tullamarine. Must have walked past it.

And lost the car in Denver. Parked it against the wall of the shopping centre. I ended up walking a lap to find it. Which was on the other side of the exit door.

When I had the mechanical workshop, I would often combine the banking with test driving the customers car. One Christmas period, I lost the car .... in a panic I first thought it might have been stolen, but it was a Holden Camira so I ruled that one out fairly quickly ..... after searching the huge parking lot at the Westfield complex where my bank was .... I finally remembered I'd parked on the roof  Got back to the workshop a few mins before the customer turned up, so they were none the wiser that I'd lost their car for a while

Terry, the office girl and I would deliver the finished cars but sometimes when she was too busy I would get the owner to take me back to the workshop but many a time on the way back we would go shopping. :D

It was a big new toolbox, that was caught in the fire, this is the beast https://www.totaltools.com.au/206329-tt ... o-ttkit947
Unfortunately, none of the drawers open because the fire buckled the whole thing. It's easier to drag it back to the workshop slab and cut it open than try to load all the tools that are in there into something to transport them.
I had thoughts of maybe getting the drawers out, repairing and repainting them and replacing all the drawer runners ... it will need to be re-assessed if this is an option after it went A over T as to how much damage was done. As you can see by the link, the box wasn't cheap and that is without tools. Total weight is an unknown, but the total capacity is around 800kg ..... and it was full, so .......
If I replace it, I won't go for the huge all in one option again, just too big to move around. It had to be towed up from the garage to the top workshop using an electric winch on the Gypsy trailer anchored to the welding bench and two of the steel pole feet that held the carport up ......

Nah, the Ford Cargo with the winch on the back, drags trees out of the ground, folded the roof over on top of itself and dragged the big steel welding bench across the pavers in the rear carport, so no need for a bulldozer ;)
It's also handy for moving cars and 20 ft containers around, or anything much that's under 30 ft long really 8-)

Good sunday morning everyone.
We copped a shiet load of Rain. just like Dave..I don't know how much fell yesterday arvo...but estimate north of two inches..
This morning's BOM shows more coming 😡🤬.
My daughters daughter and boyfriend turned up during the down pour... they have a swag..
I don't know yet if it got erected 😁.
We also had a day visit from another of the grandkids and girlfriend.
We went swimming as usual... waves almost good enough for NP to surf. Carol handled the swell ok, getting out was her only problem.. with daughter and myself holding her we managed to get back to dry ground...😛
And it's bacon and eggs day 😁🤔.
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. It's a bright sunny morning here at the mo'. But BoM says that gunna change again.
Most of those scuds have headed off north, up around where Bernie is now.
I've just tipped 60mm out of the gauge, and there's more coming.
My job today is to unblock the stormwater drain, if I'm real lucky, no digging will be involved.
If I'm lucky, Bandit will get a walk and we won't get wet.
Enjoy your day everybody, safe travels all those on the roads.
Cheers
David
