It will be interesting to see how this goes over the next two yrs, can you keep us up to date on how he progresses please Bruce.

Interested to see how fuel prices go, freight movement and the number of independent operators squeezed out once the big boys can make money out of freight, if that actually happens of course.

Things will still need moving around the country, it will be interesting to see how much is just internal shuffling and how much comes from the docks as imports and goes to the docks for export ......

A lot to still unpack with that one. Were they actual batteries in use or in storage, both are there at that site. What chemistry and brand batteries were they?
More will be known once the fire is out

I think the Moss Landing power plant storage facility has managed to catch fire more than once. The authorities isolated the area and let it burn itself out last year.
I have no idea what type of battery chemistry is involved, but it isn't Tesla batteries that are burning.

How do you know that David? These batteries are supposed to be in storage, so I'm guessing they were in the big building. The last fire was one of the active battery packs and I believe that was Tesla batteries that were involved.

It was in the comments of the video. It also linked to more videos of that power station fire. The way I read it was that they were power storage batteries, not batteries in storage. But it's like all things internet these days. How do you weed out the fake news.

and yet another news article. This one shows inside the big building that appears to have another battery storage system built inside ...... Yet to see just what went up, but the news conference doesn't shine a good light of management, with fire systems not working or being turned off early .... probably to minimise additional damage, that seems to have been a bad decision.
Reminiscent of the Roselands mega shopping centre fire in the Sydney suburbs, the fire suppression system was turned off at the water supply, it erupted again and burnt the place to the ground.

In Japan a few years ago, they built a nuclear reactor with the emergency generators and pumps below ground...
