T1,
Have you had a close look at the area around your windscreen?
Girt had a number of press-studs dotted around the front.
We were given what we called the “Zorro Mask” (coz it was black) which completely covered the windscreen with 90% shadecloth. White would have been more sensible, to reflect heat. But the black did OK when we had to park facing west.
We also had a curtain track inside, which went from the rear of the passenger side window to the rear of the driver side window.
Using both kept the interior cooler and private.

We use the inside curtains to block the direct sunlight/heat, but adding the shade cloth made a huge difference to the Air conditioning, no longer struggling to hold 23* or less, but actually cycling to a lower speed on occasions.
As far as the width Jon, well within, mirrors aren't part of the measure width any more, so as long as we stay under the 2500mm limit, we are ok. It had awnings both sides from the factory, if it was legal then, it will be grandfathered in now .....

Here ya go Dottie. This the lounge that is there at the moment
This is to go in its place https://www.harveynorman.com.au/bradfor ... -sofa.html
It's the one in the second photo, if you select two seater and fabric, that should show the brown one
Margaret's foot is giving her hell, much like George's by the sounds of your description in the Good Night thread. This is much like the two chairs we had in the house, just a two seater version, so she can lay back with her feet up and sleep there if she can't sleep in bed.
The pelmets either side will need to be shortened, the top should snug in under the edge of the kitchen bench and with the driver's seat moved forward, it will slide forward enough to put a hand down either side to operate the power buttons ..... then slide all the way back so I can put the seat back to drive.
Getting this one out the door and the other one in will be a challenge, just hoping I don't need to take a window out or something ......

Niiiiice, those you had in the house wer
e very comfortable so hope Marg gets the relief she needs.
The way we got the big bulky couch out of our winnie was we had to get it out through the passenger side window, that worked well for us. Will take a pic of what G made for out front window sun shield. May give you an idea. G is using my walker, pinching my Endone and seeing AJ tomorrow.

Re: Our "New to Us" Winnie
Actually, I think they will, they have a 240vac to DC transformer and I think I remember seeing it was 12vdc output.
Not a problem really, the Winnie has plenty of power points, a big inverter, battery and will have plenty of solar, so if we need to run them on 240v it won't matter.
as Dottie mentioned, they are very comfortable, the head rest can be adjusted, lumbar support and well as the recliner that puts the foot rest out fully by the relaxed sitting position, then lays back further while moving the seated section forward so extra clearance behind the lounge isn't required.
I think there will be just enough room to negotiate around the foot rest to get past it if Margaret is asleep in it, and I want to make it so we can swivel it to face forward to watch TV, although, the box/seat/home for the air fryer might need to be moved to negotiate around it to access the fridge for beers and cupboards for snacks ... although Margaret has laid down the law that I can't eat snacks in this lounge, apparently getting all the overflow out from between the seat cushion and armrests when I dozed off and spilt a packet of fruit and nut mix or what ever the snack at the time was

Re: Our "New to Us" Winnie
Sounds similar to the retro Shield foil lined bubble wrap blind we made for the Hino, that the tabs were trapped in the side sliding windows ..... worked a treat, just need to bite the bullet and spend the $200 plus for another roll .... after losing two of them in fires, I'm kinda reluctant to get a third roll .... much the same as Brian is banned from bringing a camp chair anywhere near the Winnie ..... he had just bought a new one and it was in the T1 Lithium office still in its wrapped the night the place burnt down .... he had a brand new one on the back patio when the house burnt to the ground .....

New lounge installed ..... this tune from the past came to mind https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... d+cribbins
Then it needed a test run to be sure it was correctly installed
