Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I'm guessing you have brown eyes .... or wear coloured contacts .....

Are you giving a personal recommendation on Kegirdle Jon, I more need it supported that try to hide it .... a very expensive body mod, both to install and maintain .... I won't want to hide it :D

Hi. Got the MH back. Had King Springs fitted to the front and Boss air bags to the back. Lifted the whole MH 35mm and cost $2050. On a short drive it seemed to have less body roll but a bit rougher ride. When it gets a bit cooler we will have to do a small trip somewhere. Cheers John

Visited Dot and George yesterday. Her computer has been getting fixed from another infestation of nasties. George is getting around quite well and it looks like a possible lift off for NZ, may be possible soon.

Tonight we went back to the gardens for our 4th visit and it has been just amazing. I am in awe of the man and his inventiveness , as well as his drive for someone well into his eighties and still running a huge workshop with 20 glass blowing minions plus plenty other helpers. He is running an internationally known team with installations in many parts of the world.

I have still to properly edit my collection of pics, but here is just a taster for you. If you are in Adelaide any time before the end of April, definitely would recommend it.
The wierdo blue things , he has titled Frog Feet. Fantastic name for them, just what they look like.

The floating lilypond and red spiky are both photos of them lit up at night. Not flowers, but huge works of blown glass.

Deborah the pictures are amazing, I’ve only ever seen glass being blown at a school fete, many, many years ago & it was clear, certainly looks an interesting display & being in the gardens it looks awesome, glad that you have enjoyed it.

Good you were able to visit Dot & George, I was thinking she hadn’t posted, now I know the reason. :D

Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams.💤💤💤💤

Just relaxing after a Big Clean-Up day.
Yesterday we had one of our common 5-minute storms ⛈️ which dumped 10mm in our rain gauge, and as an afterthought a mini-tornado wrecked all of the mature eucalypts on our northern property line with a bonus lightning strike ⚡️ which took out half of an Ironbark on the western fence line.
Fortunately the huge chunk of tree missed the house and the water tank by about 10ft.
Two trips to the tip today with a borrowed 7x10ft trailer (with 6ft tall stock crate) full to the brim with greenery.
At least two more trips to go. 🙄
The Ironbark:

The piece on the ground came from the bend to the right up high. Used to be a Y fork.
Half-way through the clean-up on the northern boundary:

You're lucky if it was just damage to greenery Ray. Take your time with the cleanup, don't overdo things.

Love the glass work Deborah.

VERY LUCKY, Dave!
On the other side of the golf course a massive Douglas Fir Tree, with a stump girth of about 10ft, in someone’s front yard was torn out of the ground and dropped on the house!
The trunk sits about 5ft off the ground — with part of the house holding it up. 🫢😳
The root ball lifted their steel & cyclone wire fence out of the ground. It’s dangling 6ft in the air.
The insurance assessors will be busy… about 20 houses in town are damaged or have trees torn up damaging fences.
Lots of street trees will have to be replaced by Council, too.
The golf course was a hive of activity, with the sound of a dozen chainsaws filling the air as volunteers began clearing about 20 trees which were either torn from the ground or split by lightning! ⚡️
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Lucky there Ray, those iron bark trees are nasty trees our old friend that did tree removals hated those trees. Get the local men to come and help clean up. As Deborah said, she and Kerry arrived for afternoon tea and the glass pics she took were just gob smacking waiting for the night time Pics. For those that have not met Deborah she is so small it makes one feel like a giant. Her recent knee op is looking pretty good. George had spent ages in the kitchen baking a cake for them  G got the ok to travel so off to the travel agent to get everything teed up for take off Frid 14th. Still have not packed yet. Brian sitter comes here Wednesday to go over the do's and don'ts, I am feeling a bit yuck about leaving my little man but he will be ok. Poor old Robert not Bob is still having trouble with his knee oozing and pain he was carted off to the hosp today. Time for a shower then bed, off to Mt Barker tomorrow to pick up air tickets etc and more cat food for Brian and might have a look at the op shops, Take care everyone x :D Goodnight Norman x :D
