My. Fridge

Hi..the Waeco fridge that I removed from the motorhome was not keeping the fridge at an acceptable temperature.
I am going to sell it but not if it doesn't work Proper.
The freezer is ok, I started the fridge today and the freezer was at minus 18.5 when I took the temperature thingy out of the freezer and put it in the fridge compartment...it won't go below 9.4 degrees
Any thoughts on what I can do to make the fridge work.
When it was in the motorhome it sometimes worked proper for days at a time then it wouldn't...

Bernie, people fit fans inside to shift the air around.

But, I've got an idea. If you brewed an English lager. You could keep it cool in the fridge. It would be just right.

Plus I forgot... it's a 12 volt compressor fridge.

Oh Bernie, do I have to solve evvvverrrryyy problem? Just leave the door open.... then the fridge will always cool to room temperature and the keg will fit nicely.

Also. Is there a vent between the freezer and the main area? My Aldi fridge has one and you slide the little lever to adjust the balance.

Sounds exactly like our 3 way. But it can't be if it's a compressor job. Does the compressor cycle, Bernie? If yes, then it probably still has enough gas in it. What are the door seals like? If they have gone hard or crumbly then they may not be sealing. Is there excessive wear in the hinges?

Bernie mine is on the passenger side.
If I park with the front down even by just a couple of degrees it's like you describe.
If I park with the rear down, even by a big margine it's all good.
Besides, leave it going for 2 or 3 days & you might see the fridge go down more.

It's not a 3 way Bruce so angle doesn't matter.
It's sitting in the car shed.
I just went out to check...the fridge compartment is at ambient temperature...21 degrees .
The fridge was cycling yesterday Dave.

If the freezer part is cold but the other bit isn't then I'd have a look at the door seals.

Door seal's are good Dave.
Clip from battery charger was off... that would account for the ambient temperature
We have two cats that have gone feral around here at the moment... maybe that was why the clip was Off.
Freezer still working fine.
I can't get close enough to have a talk with them
I will put the temp thingy back in the fridge compartment.
