The aluminium & steel exports to the USA amount to precisely 0.2% of our total exports of them. (According to the ABC NEWS24 Business programme.)
The answer is simple: terminate all USA export contracts immediately, situation to be reviewed after the inauguration of the next President.

Why? We don't pay the tariff, they do, just don't buy anything from the USA ....... The freight out of the US is insane anyway, the Eu and the British Isles is cheaper on freight and sell at a reasonable price. I see no reason to stop buying from China and Japan, nor South Korean, Vietnam etc .... in fact, there aren't many places I'd draw the line at dealing with actually

I see some of the US citizens are now talking about a tax revolt.... something the US is very familiar with .... I believe they threw a Tea Party to celebrate ;)

Musk's own AI has replied to a question regarding Trump .... From a Mirror article
Trump super-fan Elon Musk appears to have been outsmarted by his own creation after his AI tool suggested the President was under Putin's thumb.
Screenshots have showed the Grok DeepSearch tool's analysis of recent news events, concluding Donald Trump was living in a bubble of Kremlin propaganda with his speeches often bearing an "echo of Russian narratives". It comes after the President's administration prompted concerns across the world after ploughing ahead with Russia peace talks seemingly freezing Kyiv out of discussions.

1 mth into his 2nd term as president, the USD has fallen 3 weeks in a row against the 6 other major currencies. This is adding momentum to the switch by many countries to the BRICS that would be backed by gold reserves, like the old days when currencies were a lot more stable.

Trumps popularity among US citizens is now at least better than his first term 1 mth in, but that only makes him the second worst against himself .... From a recent Gallup poll
Trump’s Rating Better Than First Term, Worse Than All Presidents Since 1953
Trump's job approval rating is 15 points below the historical average for all other elected presidents in mid-February since 1953, but it is five points higher than the February reading in his first term. Bill Clinton has the next lowest mid-February rating for a newly inaugurated president -- which, at 51%, is six points higher than where Trump is now. John Kennedy (72%) and Jimmy Carter (71%) were the highest rated at this point in their presidencies.

Maybe he figures it will better over time ......

They will have to do it soon, he is rapidly dismantling any govt body that could achieve that .... and he has Elon's billions to support a never ending battle .... well, until Elon runs out of money.

Elon has bought himself a financial stream no one would have imagined possible, it's running at $8 million a day now, who knows where it will be in 6 mths time https://www.msnbc.com/all-in/watch/elon ... 1824965528 there are other more in depth and longer You Tube videos on the questioning of Elon Musk's tactics being brought out before the House funding committee https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P54JXNsC1_k&t=140s ......

Musk claimed his DOGE musketeers had cut $8 billion in savings, it was later pointed out it was $8 million, one days pay to Elon Musk ......

Bernie Sanders lays another one down on record in a slamp against what Trump has done in one mth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQXl5JZG-C8

Every cut President Musk makes is predicated upon three questions:
IMG_5555.jpeg
In many cases, these are the wrong questions.
On today’s news we learn that President Musk has sent every individual Federal Government worker an email asking what they have achieved in the past week!
Failure to respond will be considered a resignation.
😳🙄
For starters, that’s about one to one-and-a-half MILLION responses, minimum. I’m not sure how many staff will be reading them, but they will be tied up — doing nothing else — for MONTHS.
Who will compare responses to job descriptions?
Government productivity will go down the toilet.
And how many activities in government produce a definable result in a week?
Apart from the fact that President Musk doesn’t have the authority to sack public servants… especially if he can’t provide a reason.

All I can say is, the Americans voted for this. 🙄

Deputy President Trump has now demanded Ukraine hand over $500 billion — half its revenue from rare earth minerals exports, FOREVER — as part of a peace deal with Russia.
He wants Ukraine to repay the money America GAVE to defend against the RUSSIAN-instigated invasion!

The man is delusional. 🤪🙄

Do you truly think they are the questions the musketeers apply to each cut they make?
I'd go for:

How good will this $$ figure look in the headlines
Will this save enough to cover the bosses drain on the govt finances
Will this directly affect me today

As for the answer to the questionnaire : Do you have the legal authority to ask this question? Was it given by the govt and ratified by both houses and the judicial system ..... or just one man who thinks he is above being questioned?

Musk is already starting to shut down parts of X that allow criticism of either him or trump or actually fact check what either of them have posted .....

His own AI and Chat GPT have turned on the pr of them, so they can't get either of those to read through the questionnaire replies, I doubt they could handle the answers .....

The first of the Trump "executive orders" have bounced in each court, paving the way for a Supreme court hearing .... are they game to try it? The coursts could rule it as treasonous because it is not in the best interest of the United States of America .... that would have them both head to a max security prison ......

Let's see just how much power the American people really have ... it could also be the trigger for a civil war ..... but Trump just sacked a heap of his generals and high ranking military .... who will the highly trained military listen to? Their former leaders, or those loyal to someone who has been treason as part of his portfolio.

Comment from an American politician:
“Russia used to have the second most powerful military in the world.
It now has the second most powerful military in Ukraine.”
😁

Times Radio (UK) interviewed one of their retired generals.
The upshot of the 15 minute interview is that he believes that war between Russia and Europe within the next five years is virtually inevitable. 😳
He reckons Trump’s actions and statements are shortening the odds daily. 🙄
