Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dave's magic wish comes true again.

What is the part number on the original packaging?

Bernie, I'm glad your seals turned up, now you've got something to do tomorrow.

T1, your Suburban is an earlier model than ours, but the size is the same. Even for the brand new ones. Only needed the pic to ID it, just in case you couldn't find the info.
I reckon they are a great product, less trouble than the Truma.
Like Bernie said, I'd replace it when you are able to.
If yours is the same as ours onside, there is a female 3/8 BSP fitting that is on the fill line. You know, the ones that fail all the time. Make sure you travel with a spare or get a female socket and some male fittings.
Cheers

Obviously you have removed all the gas side of things before that photo was taken.
The 240v side of things is connected to/thru the switch inside the MH?
The wiring diagram for each model of the suburban heaters in included in the manual including installation & connections plus operating.

Gotta agree with that Bernie, the "to do" list seems to be growing, no matter how many I seem to cross off .....

You can see the hole in the heater plate with the two wires and female spade terminals that I've added a jumper lead to connect them, they normally go on the switch that is behind the gas solenoids when they are installed ..... why is it there is the question, it could be inside with gas switch so you decide which you want to use, gas or electric, not under the hot water system cover that you need to open to get to the switch .... and then it is the area where the pressure release valve can dump water over it ...
I'm thinking seriously about just linking the two wires together permanently with a BP connector, and using the plug and powerpoint inside as the electric supply on/off switch, removing a failure point.

Please explain? ..... Now where have I heard that line before

Just to add to the list, the silver Prius has died. Towed it home just now, a very much burnt wiring smell under the bonnet, so maybe an inverter pump has failed and it being so hot today, it has fried the inverter .... just what I need, another job that needs doing before all the other jobs that need to be done first.

Fortunately, the knife in the left eye isn't until Monday 24th, so that should give me a few extra days to sort what happened ..... or get another vehicle from the fleet going again and registered

Try number 3. Why don't you drop the whole 240v thing into the bin and use a 12v element of suitable resistance and dump your excess solar into that. If, by some chance you finish up parked up in a CPk or at home with 240v access, then use your 240v to 12v charger to power it up. I'm tipping LPG will still be available in Aust for a very long time. And it will still work on after a gloomy week or so. At the end of the day, it's good to have a fall back plan, dontcha reckon.
Cheers
