Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
I have a Boost 365 day sim in my Samsung mobile phone, expires the end of the month, need to find a new provider, looking at one from Kogan 200GB for $139 any recommendations
Like Bruce, we are with Optus and have been for quite some time. They don't have the off the beaten track coverable that Telstra has, but if often works in areas where Telstra is very patchy. I was with Vodaphone many moons back when I was still in the Illawarra, it worked great in the major cities and towns, nothing else where .... so I switched to Optus.

Shirley, Moose mobile which is an optus provider, 200gig for $45.80 a month for the first 6 months and then $55.80 a month with 200 gig banking of unused data. Mate communications which is a telstra provider 150gig for $55 and 1000gig banking of unused data. I have both telstra and optus services, because of the travelling I do and have found optus to be the best no matter where I go. At home can see the telstra tower, but have almost zero service and can't connect to the internet, yet can't see the optus tower and have excellent service including great internet. They both have a variety of options for reasonable prices.
After a lifetime with Telstra we've changed the mobiles to Boost which is still FULL coverage with Telstra but on the prepaid 365 plan which has more than enough data for us.
BUT since the 3g shutdown we've found as have many others that the mobile service in general has deteriorated to the point of being unusable in many areas where service has been good for many years. A trip last year confirmed what many others had complained of that in many regional and rural areas the mobile service has disappeared when 3G was turned off. In many places we stayed where previously there was service there is now nothing, in some places there was often up to two bars of signal but it was unusable. Speaking tp others we realised that this is now common in rural areas.
That there are now many more dead spots on the major highways like the Pacific and Hume according to regular travellers and truckies should be a wake up to the authoirties.
So now like many others we have Starlink which gives us service anywhere and much faster than anything else.
I lodged a complaint with the TIO and got the generic response from Telstra and have just now a reply from TIO asking if Teksta had sorted it and am now composing my reply.
We really need everyone that has been screwed by the comms companies in this "upgrade" to 5G and the cessation of 3G to complain loudly.
