Bernie,
If you can arrange a “registration address” in Qld your problem should be solved… 🤞

When we spent three years OTR doing the Big Lap, we had our son’s address for that sort of stuff, including voter registration.

Ray, Bernie lives in Qld and has done for many years. At least since I've known him anyway. Which is at least .....too many years to think about.
Cheers

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Bernie just has to decide which path he is going down. Override or hydraulic.
He'll work it out and all will be well in his world.

Bernie already has electric brakes, to change to hydraulic brakes is a reasonably big job.

Some of the American systems use a decelerometer in a trailer mounted device that also has an over ride and sensitivity control that connects via Blue Tooth. The problem with those, the yanks use very strange trailer plugs ....

The better alternative might be one of these https://www.trailersrus.com.au/electric ... leader-cab and an old smart phone, doesn't need to be on a network, it uses the Bluetooth function
Here is a PDF on how to install one https://www.trailersrus.com.au/assets/b ... 000-PS.pdf
Doesn't look too complicated and a trailer breakaway can be added in to allow an uprating rather than derating the trailer capacity

Jon, that's not very nice. Just because T1 may have paid a premium for a trailer that he can't get his car on.
He'll probably give you some stick about devilled lasagna now. Or something about spoons.
Cheers
