Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
I'm guessing neither of those truck drivers had a licence.
Seriously? With all the new industrial manslaughter laws about, any company and manager would be crazy to that.
I'd hazard a guess they held fake licences, where someone sits the test for them, or they buy a licence through one of those fine upstanding pillars of virtue that operate behind the scenes at one of the state licencing offices.

Even when I went for my MR before I even got in the cab I had to do an all around and under the truck inspection. I would suspect the ones involved in that episode looked like someone else with a legit license and used that to get a job. Can be hard to tell with those beards and head scarfs. Maybe fingerprints on big rig licenses?

Retina scanning and a slot to put your licence in to identify the person driving. If the 'puter doesn't see the retina scan that is recorded on the licence it goes into limp mode. The modern big rig multi- trailer prime-movers have constant retina scanning to ensure the driver is paying full attention to the road all the time they are driving and monitors for signs of fatigue ...... These safety items should be in ever commercially operated truck, but certainly in multi trailer combinations ...... but it will never happen, there is already a massive shortage of drivers .... adding that sort of thing that would be recorded on your licence would result in many older truckies simply hanging up the blue singlet .....
There is no love lost toward the Indian truck drivers from other truckers ..... they even have their own truck stops now because they are shunned from the traditional truckies lounge

Terry, I had to do a test similar to get my LR license, before I even started the bus & did the actual driving test, I’d been driving it for 12 months with Bruce who had a heavy truck license sitting beside me, I didn’t even have to have Ls displayed, could of changed now that was 20 years ago.
Good morning everyone.
I done a Terry yesterday and changed the way I put the diesel heater in...it's a better look now...much like me

They are on a holiday tour Bernie, getting a bit of sun and relaxation before the hard work of tell anyone who can decipher the code, just what you are planning to do as far as direction changes or slowing down .... or just letting them know they are there if they can't see them ..... mixed with the boredom of just sitting there looking pretty until you decide you need their signalling ability ..... Not much of life to look forward to, mostly looking backwards, let them have their holiday before they have to start work
And thank you for reminding me, I have yet another job to do before Taggerty, fitting a heater

Thats what all the drivers are complaining about. They can get off a plane at the airport from somewhere, claim all the govt handouts, produce an internationally recognised licence and get an Aust HC or MC licence. Next day driving Melb to Syd or similar.
But if you are Aussie born, nup, do all the courses to gain the licence.
Neither of those blokes had a clue. Qld Hwy Patrol attended, so I'm sure they'll sort out any issues. Or not.
Cheers

I knew they could get a rigid licence, but I thought to bigger truck licences required testing ..... so they don't even need to be able to read English How do they know what the heavy vehicle signs are telling them?
