Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Going to bite the bullet and get a few shutters replaced, after 25years things have changed and improved in the shutter industry. The man also took a pic of our house gutters and in a short time they were chockers with the gum leaves from next doors gum trees so maybe gutter guard is also on the horizon. While were talking I asked if he knew any reputable painters and as luck would have it he did, so another job in the planning. May as well spend the "block $$" on making things bright and new looking, then watch out kitchen and bathrooms. George is relieved as he really didn't want to move so he opened the door for the work that needs doing   My legs are a bit better today but the back is being slow to get recover, one more day should see it right. The bamboo's are all but one showing some green stuff appearing so looks like they are recovering. How are all you under the weather people and surgically effected people doing? RnB, Shirley, Deborah and Margaret and anyone else. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D P.S Ray I have no idea of Bali and a Ro-ex watch , was that a joke??

Dot, hope the back gets backup and running soon. Let AJ have a go at it, you can make it muchus betterer then. I can see a quiet market for dole bludgers to get out of their laziness and have to work on pensioners gardens for a day a week. get a gold tick from you or no pension! I can also see a f**kbook add for a cash paid gardener/teenager to assist you in the yard. I know the dough only goes so far, but it's made round to go round right? Cheaper than stamp duty on a newer property. xxxx

Cataract surgery went well, but it took a long time of waiting around with no real excuse. We didn't leave the horspital until after 4;30, so it was a huge wait for his nibs again. Today was the unveiling and the world looks very foggy. Was the same with other eye too, so not really worried. Will see specialist again in a few weeks to get glasses sorted out. The drops have started and even after three doses, I can see they are making a huge difference.

I broke a filling last week, so started trying to get an appointment with dentist. So far I have left two messages on her machine and I know that she works five days a week, so there must be someone there.

I also wanted a quacks appointment, next available is in MAY. If urgent, I can get up early and ring before 8am in the hope of a rare cancellation. Nah, not urgent enough, so May will have to be the way to go.
Tomorrow I might even get up the courage to chase up the kiln man....that started last November, but I was too busy to follow it up. I want to get back to my shed now and want the bigger kiln. SO phone will be busy again tomorrow.

nighty night xxx
Deborah

Margaret tells the story of one of the blokes in a share house coming back with an absolute bargain Sharp calculator ....... till they pointed out the name on the screen was Shrap, not Sharp

Another one, an electrical retailer sent a brand name double power point to a Chinese manufacturer to get a price for making 10,000 of them the same.
The price was mind blowing so he went ahead with the order ..... when they arrive, the copy was identical, all the way down to the brand name moulded into the underside of the plastic

The manufacturer probably just walked down the road and bought 10000 originals and sent them.

It's way too late for good morning, so it may as well be goodnight.
We've left the Southern Downs now, and are parked up in the back of the Sandy Creek pub. We've never been here before, but we'll be coming back.
What a nice little place. Great food, cold beer. Not too expensive and camping is free. With the proviso that you patronise the pub.
There is a sign on the back gate stating that they don't mind if you leave a donation, as the local council is now imposing a fee of some sort on them, because they permit fully self contained camping on the premises.
So, if you are in the area, stop in, have a feed. Stop overnight if you want, and check out all the critters in and around the yard.
Bandit has never been too close to an Alpaca before, not sure what he made of them. He ignored most of the rest of them, but had a good sniff of the little deer.
Stay safe wherever you are or whatever you are doing.
Get well soon, all that aren't the best.
Thanks again, Bruce.

Hope the chair is comfy Dot. No more big times in the garden for you, maybe space the jobs out a lot more? Felling any better? xxxx

Bernie, caterpillars will already be inside the fruit, before it ripens. You need to keep the moths away, so my trick is to buy a packet of chilly powder from the supermarket. Put it in a sprayer with some warm water, shake and spray over your plants. The moths won't want to land and lay their eggs, so no emerging caterpillars or as my kids called them pillarcatters. Good luck mate.

We both had headachy days today. He admitted to hacking the rosemary bush yesterday and forgot to take a telfast first...he is a very slow learner  . Mine was just the swollen eye and tiredness. As the day went on, it has felt a lot better.

Success with the dentist, see her in a couple of weeks, as it's not painful, the wait is fine. Next is almost a success from the kiln man. He has assured me that he will drop by tomorrow or Friday to check what is needed. So that is a start. He also suggested that I decide if I want the newer type of relays that have come in for kilns (solid state). I will do some research tonight.

A long awaited parcel arrived from catch. I was excitedly expecting a lush deep red fluffy dressing gown, opened it only to find a lovey hot pink one. I refuse to wear pink, it's for little old ladies and I don't qualify. So I did a bit of contact the seller and requested a refund. Next was to research the rest of the market, so I bought a similar one from ebay in purple. That will make me much happier and there can be no strange colour mix ups there.

Night all xxx
Deborah
