Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning Bernie and others.
12* here in Manchester right now.
We went for quite a walk yesterday on an organised tour, I can't believe that the tour guide was able to talk for two and a half hours but the information he gave regarding the history of the place was incredible.

Good morning everyone. We came home yesty arvo. It is raining just about everywhere in SE Qld at the mo. I was planning on being at the Toowoomba Speedway this Saturday night. But that event is rained off now til May. We had about 50mm of rain in the week we were away.
I wish some of this rain could find its way down to central Vic. My sons buying water at his place, and the paddock dams are drying up.
Keep enjoying your tour George.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

You know Dave I've often wondered why some get help & others don't?
A fire wipes out a heap of home & they get a Gov handout but when one burns down (Terry?) he gets zilch.
A big flood or cyclone in Qld & the same.
Money for flood victims but not for those with no water/rain.
The Murray at Mannum has been stagnant for several weeks now & is green as .............

Any way I have a question of all the Taggerty expert cooks ............
I want to stew up some apples so raced into town to get some cinnamon.

Right? Cinnamon sugar or ground?? Why can't life be simple? I got the sugar one!

Well Bruce, I've often wondered the same thing. I think it's about attracting votes. There is also a cynical part of me that says how come some people work hard all their life and save money and gather assets and buy a house or a business and get bugger all at the end of their working life. And others that do bugger all, bludge on the system and get the dole and rent assistance and numerous other benefits.
As far as the cooking goes, you'd better wait until someone that knows how to cook properly gets online. I'm pretty crap at it apparently.
Cheers

The Cinnamon sugar just has the ratio of Cinnamon and sugar pre mixed ..... that they think is the correct ratio. As long as the sugar/Cinnamon mix is will stirred to get it evenly distributed ..... it should be ok.

If you are following a recipe that gives measured quantities of sugar and ground Cinnamon ..... or Cinnamon sticks to be added whole and removed after cooking, then you need each individual item to add at the correct ratio.

As you can imagine, the premix lot was done in a big tub, the chances of it remaining evenly mixed before packaging is questionable, then how mix each part separated in the package while in transit raises another unknown, that is why the recipe would have had the measured amount of each ingredient to ensure you got the repeatable result ....... Cinnamon sugar is usually used to sprinkle on donuts ......

Don't believe the flood victims and fire victims got enough help fast enough to get them back to where they were pre fire or flood, I've heard many stories regarding victims still living in virtual shanties on their property, waiting to get rebuilt once the money comes through ..... naturally, the price to rebuild has skyrocketed so once they finally get any money, it won't rebuild what they had ......

The insurance system is broken, there is no one making sure the insurance contract comes first and company profits shared between directors and stockholder come after what is left ..... they are private enterprises, so it runs the other way, profits first, policy holders second ..... the money they have to pay out might end up the same $$ figure in 12mths or 20 yrs time as in my motor vehicle accident, in between times, that money has gathered interest and saved having to borrow funds, so worth even more to the company by holding onto it as long as they can .......

As a mate put it "Bad bookies, happy to take the money for the bet, but don't want to pay out if they aren't the winners" .......

They make used Tesla Sale people look like saints in comparison ........

Good morning.
As Dave said it's raining in SE Qld.
I went and seen my mate in Maryborough hospital yesterday... rained all the way..
Pithing down in Maryborough down to 20ks in the 80 zone...it was heavy.
The Biggenden to maryborough road is now closed, water over the road at Hanson's flat... about 2 inches when I come home probably up around half a metre now.
Biggenden was to have a show and shine today 🤬
I've waited all this time for my taillights...to wet to fix them on now...grrr...
Not much to do today...I've got my charger back from my daughter...so might put that back into the motorhome.
Dot must be looking at "adult" stuff on her computer 😁
Keep safe and dry.
Bernie.

One for the viruses.
