Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Doone was a really lovely lady and a good friend to our friend Tanks for many years and we know Doone will be sadly missed by everyone that not only met her but also those that heard of her via tanks and her motor homing friends. She put up a good fight but that bastard big C won again. R.I.P. Doone. Sorry for your loss Tanks and condolences to her family.

Good morning.

My motorhome has passed it's annual machinery 😁😁
And when I got back home I opened the sump to drain the oil... now has new oil and filter... another job done..
BUT...I will check the oil level this morning... just to make sure it's ok... the oil "stick" 😁 doesn't always read correct..
Nothing much else went on for the day.
I slept in this morning... sorry Shirley...
Now I can start loading Up the motorhome for a trip away for a bit...
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. Its another beautiful sunny morning here. I haven't slept well, again. So, I'm going for a walk to clear my head.
I'm just watching the news of the flooding in SW Qld and NW NSW, the SES is now preparing Bourke and Menindee for major flooding. Does anyone know if that will then flow in Lake Eyre or the Murray Darling system?
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers
David

David I posted a map a while ago of the different catchment areas.
All of the Rivers way up North in the so called channel country run towards Lake Eyre. There are many lakes & flood plains before it MAY reach the lake so whatever happens up that way is of no benefit to the Murray Darling catchment.
Yes all the water coming down in the MD Catchment will/should head down eventually into the sea at, or near Goolwa.
BUT, we all know due to evaporation & theft & usage very little will get that far.
In Qld & NSW there is a rule that allows endless pumping of water with no cost once a River is declared a flood.
You can rest assured all & every pump at present is going flat out 24/7 filling up those huge turkey's nests.

It will flow down the Darling, until it reaches the irrigators, it won't reach Wentworth to join the Murray, unless it also rained enough to flood all the irrigated properties ..... then we will have trees and mud flowing through Mannum ....... eventually ......

Thanks for that bit of info about the unlimited pumping after flood declared. I always wondered how Cubbie Station and others down that way could afford to hold the equivalent of a Sydney Harbour full of water. All the blokes that I know down around Hay way can rarely afford to buy water. But they're cow cockies not cotton farmers, so it's a different set of rules, so I'm told.
Cheers

Good morning..
A bit of a slow day... nothing ventured nothing gained 😁
I finished the service on the motorhome, and started rearranging all the thingys in the side bins... some relegated to the shed... some just moved to other locations...
I had a phone call from a mate in Tamworth, I was going to drop in to see him in a cuppla weeks...alas he won't be home... might catch him on the return... maybe...
Carol has a single bed for sale, and people coming today to buy it...we hope...it's taking up space in the car shed.
Other than that nothing planned for today... just the usual gardening...
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Just be aware,

I'm getting those emails from "Petels" - the bloke who stole his ID a while back.

So, don't respond to them if you get it too
