I've found that the old 3way, when in top order, can reliably cool to about 25⁰ below ambient. Which is good when it's 27⁰ or so, but pretty ordinary when it's 40 or so.
Ours seems to be functioning quite well this arvo. But we aren't travelling til tomorrow. And that, I'm sure will be another story.

Where is that "we still love ya Dave, but it's time to rip the old fridge out" emoji?

    :(
I reckon any of these would do. Whichever one suits the occasion. Bloody fridge.19th century technology.
Shoulda gone out with button up boots.

Do you have a 2-storey motorhome Dave ..... that might be the problem, try moving it down to the lower storey and see how it goes there ......

Nah, we've only got the basic Winnebago build Terry.
Not sure how the real estate spruiker would describe it.
Maybe fully equipped, single storey, 1 bath 1 bed, in need of a upgrade. Or great big mother........ .

I finally purchased a Hisense Inverter fridge - HRTF206S, wasn't a bad price $450 from Good guys
I couldn't get it to run reliably off an old 300watt inverter, ended up purchasing a Victron 500VA which is handling it well
Lucky with the install was a very easy modification with no cutting of existing cabinetry and able to recess the fridge - looks quite good with dark sunnies on at ten paces :D
Straight out of the box the fridge at first fire up was using 17amps momentary (as read on elcheapo clamp meter on 12v side), then settles down to 10amps and gradually reduces etc. Had it on overnight for a twelve hour period with nothing else going in van the Victron smart shunt shows it & inverter using 36.8ah
Bernie - Do you use the adhesive baby latches from bunnies for fridge door ?
Thanks to forum for good ideas

Looks neat Eddy, might be yet another one of those jobs I get done now we aren't going to Taggerty .... but there are quite a few ahead of that on the list to be completed and a few to be even started

Bruce,

The 206 is inverter.
The 205 is NOT inverter.
