Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Margaret says she enjoyed the first good sleep in 2 weeks, and the Macca's fries and coffee on the way home, secretly, she is enjoying telling me the next 5 things that all need to be done first ....... and none of them are on my priority list ;)

Might get the trailer finished today so I can trial load the MG4 ...... then create a plan to fix all the bits that didn't go to plan ...... At the crane building place I worked at as a casual, the engineers called it a "revision" .. an alpha numeric with two decimals after that ..... The best/worst I saw on a return contract, was at Revision > L9.75

Yeah, well, we all knew I wouldn't get to do anything on the trailer  I did get half the "patio" under the awning cleared out .... but when I started on the second half, the pile of roasted and some twice roasted spanners begged me to set up the phosphoric acid bath to see if they could be recovered ...... the first lot through came out well, so it looks promising, just need to make up tool trays to put them in ......

Enjoy your travels everyone

geeezzzzz.

When I was 18, fitting spotties involved drilling a hole in the bumper, screw the light in, wire in a relay and you're done.

Lucas...... remove headlights, remove full plastic mudguards from around the front wheels, remove the front nose cone, make brace behind number plate, machine packers to hold spottie bracket. drill everything precisely, assemble, remachine packers for a 3mm tilt, assemble nose cone, refit mud guard thingos, install special wiring loom, run sense wire to inside the light assembly, remove crimps from light socket, add sense wire, replace socket, replace light assembly into nose cone, check everything works upto this stage. 2 days work so far.

Dot, I think what Jon is saying is that nothing is simple on new cars anymore.
I reckon the hardest part is figuring out the correct order to remove all that stuff, then figure out how the 'magic clip' works, so you can pull it apart, and get it back together without breaking anything.
Cheers

Good morning All. Drizzling rain here forecast for the rest of the day.

I've caught the T! disease. Yesterday decided to check out the Terios in case I drive it to Taggerty next week.
Topped up the oil and the radiator fluid then decided to check tyre pressures, all a little low. Fuel also needs topping up.

I decided to drive to a servo for fuel and while there add some air to the tyres. Drove out of the garage and 20M down the drive prior to getting out to open the front gates and after doing so noticed that the rear rhs tyre was dead flat. Get the jaack and wheel brace out from beneathe the front seat, 1st time in the 12 years since I purchased the car. Luckily, I had sufficient room between the wheel and garden border.

Julie had an appointment to attend but couldn't get out because I was blocking the driveway so called an Uber to take her there, asking that I pick here up when she was finished and to make sure I had my phone with me.

When I had completed my task I headed for a servo for fuel and air only to find that their air supply was out of order so, without buying fuel, headed for another servo only to find that not only did they not have air, but had also run out of fuel. Off to another servo where their air supply was also out of order. I finally gave up and headed to the suburb wher I would pick up Julie and sat the for 30 minutes waiting for a phone call.

When Julie arrived we headed for another servo, got fuel but not air so headed home to get the compressor out to pump up the tyres.
Then went for a lie down.

I think it was more about how fussy Lucas is/was?
I took it to be about Lucas & his new wheels?
