Arfur for director if...

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Thanks Bushrat, you said it much better than I did. We seem to all share the same goals and the same road, so it seems that a club where we all work together, would achieve even more amazing things for everyone.

You know who started all this crap.... long gone now, well almost. AND thank bloody God they have gone, now for the last of them..... We really need to make sure these narrow minded ones don't ever get a leg in again.

I think the problems with many caravans is that they are not self contained, most do not have a grey water tank & many just let the water run out everywhere but I do agree we are all out there just trying to enjoy our retirement.
Not good when you get a caravan on a bitumen surface just letting grey water run everywhere, bad enough on grass.

I'm afraid that's very broad brush your painting with Shirley. Sadly, there are a lot of motorhomers that do exactly the same thing, well, actually worse.
At the last rally I attended, the Barcaldine Rally, they all had there grey water taps open and let it run on the ground claiming it would water the grass and help green up the area. You could smell it all the way down to the IGA super market at the end of town. Many of the chapter members of the one I once belonged to proudly boasted how they always left their grey tap partly opened and had never had to empty it since they had owned the motorhome, over 5 yrs. I was totally discussed with the lot of them, I don't think they appreciated me telling them so either.
I know many caravanners who catch and retain their grey water when required in sealable plastic containers. They understand the meaning of fully self contained and try to abide by it, a motorhomer who has a grey tank but leaves the tap open is even worse in my opinion because they continue to dump that water up the road as the drive off.
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

Oh,Terry! You beat me to it while I was trying to find this thread. Shirley, we are caravanners and do not have a grey water tank. BUT, we do have sealable containers into which we contain our grey water, when required, to dispose of in the approved manner. I have also witnessed MHers etc who dispose of their grey water regardless of requirements. I get quite cranky when some MHers set themselves up to be superior to the rest of us who do the right thing.

As with all walks of life some are always lower than the majority and they are the ones that give us all the bad name. We have a MH and have seen some doozy things that the biggest and poshest ones do along with some caravans, 5th wheelers, wiz bangs, tenters, truck drivers and even tour coaches. We are all equal, just that some think they are more equal than others... pigs bum huh. :D

Guess that is why many areas are being closed down travelers in general being M.Hers or caravaners not doing the correct thing.
We have also witnessed M.Hers doing the wrong thing we all need to "keep Australia clean".
I wasn't for one minute thinking M.Hers superior.

When we were in WA a tour bus full of Asian tourists stopped at the big boab tree, the driver must have told them before they got off the bus, "Gentlemen to the left & Ladies to the right" as they all went in the correct directions. That was any spare bush that could be stood up against or squatted behind. We were sitting having lunch and could see white bums dotted here and there and leaving a paper rose donation then it was all back on the poo pee express and off they went.. I commented on this to another bus driver (Melb to Adel) and he said that is common practice for the drivers of those coaches because they have to clean the toilets themselves and some of their passengers have very "strange" toileting habits. Also don't forget the common old car drivers and also motorbike riders and their donations along the roads.. :(

Off topic a bit but .......
I have no problem really with 1's & 2's as they call them......... it's the bloody paper, old towells, dirty undies & other items they use that get left behind not buried.
But it's OK.......... our club will fix it!!!... :D  :P
