Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Optimum solution. Ban them completely unless the are registered and the rider has a licence and a helmet.

Evening Dot xxxx

Thanks for all the suggestions. To prevent further damages to our newly reformed tennis courts, the courts are now locked. The key is only available at the local servo with a deposit of $20 and a photocopy of drivers licence is kept on file.
The family of the two worst kids was so embarrassed by the charges etc, that they have left town, after they paid for the damage bill. We all hope the monsters have learnt from their evil ways and now the local free tennis courts have to be kept under lock n key when not in proper use. The children of all the local schools have been told about the incidents and know that there is a price to pay for any damages in this town.

Sadly David, the NSW government is trying to let the brats use their scooters and bikes legally. Not a fan. Many of our local councils are leaving escooters around their footpaths for people to hire, have credit card can use them. They are at the moment illegal to ride anywhere except on bike paths, yet the council drop off points are all on the regular footpaths. Some rules are just plain stupid and not being obeyed, even by the local councils. The scooters have no place on a footpath or even bike paths. They are ridden with speed and silence and have caused a lot of problems here for the older residents.

The day was spent packing the van and getting ready for an escape tomorrow. We will head up the highway for a few long hours to North Haven and hopefully will have a lovely time with our jayco mob.

night all xxx
Deborah

When I lived in Beechworth Vic the local solicitors daughter used to abuse her little pony until one day I had had enough, as she was flogging the wee pony I accidentally put my arm out and heavens above she did a good face plant on the dirt road, later that day her hob knob father paid me a visit . When I explained how the little snot was treating the pony he was not pleased and I believe he told my dad I had done nothing wrong. Never saw that girl on any horse again. I won't stand by and watch any animal (apart from snakes, rats and mice)be abused by anyone. We had some more rain this arvo. Brian goes to the vet tomorrow for his sneezing fits and ears to be cleaned. G goes to the chiro and then the painter man is coming around to put in writing what he will be doing for the $$, sick of being ripped off. Would you believe my friend in NZ is still being harassed by her bro and his lawyer? this time he wants payment of $650k he has no proof but Sue has every receipt .Also he is going to try to bankrupt her. What the hell do these judges do they say they read all the evidence but clearly they do not. Once again she is not coping very well with all the stress, This has been a 7year saga so far. Only thing we can think is the legal system is just as corrupt as any profession (if the price is right) Have a great time away Deborah, glad the tennis courts have been locked, dam sprogs. Off to bed now, Stay safe one and all. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2ft 6. x :D

The Gold Coast and Brissy have far too many of those lime scooters and green bikes and whatever else the big knobs are pushing for. We've had a few different brands in the past 10 years or so, and they hang around til their contract expires or they go broke. Those ones aren't such a big deal, apart from being an eyesore, dumped or dropped off on a corner.
The real and increasing problem are the young bucks on their elec scooters and motorbikes. The latest fad on the GC seems to be racing down the main roads takes selfies while doing a wheelie, usually with no head protection. At least one of the local kids has been seriously injured when he lost control and poled it.
I hate them. Stupid Govt allows it, don't understand why.

The other day, a kid was riding, sitting down, on a single wheel bike. Like it was cradled between his knees. Doing about 60 up the main road. Weird.

About 10 minutes later, he heading back with an armfuls of boxes. Obviously been to the post office.

Maybe all these damaged roads are a good thing???

Looks easier to operate than the stand up only ones, just needs a leg cramp or something and you are off in the scrubbery ..... or the traffic

You won't ever see me on one of those. My balance isn't good enough.
Stupid kids have been riding skateboards on Mt Dandenong road for years. Nutters.

$4,500 for a toy?!?!?! 😳😳🫢
Looks fairly heavy, too.
I wouldn’t want to be in the path of a yahoo riding on of those! 😵🤕
