Reminds me of a Tshirt I saw on the interweb,
“I have neither the time
nor the crayons
to explain it to you.”
🤪😁
There is a great sign on the wall at the local post office "I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you" I don't know how many times that little piece of wisdom would have come in handy in the heated battles on the Caravanner Forum

I was just watching a You Tube article regarding 7 major shipping ports either banning all US freight whether import or export, or seriously restricting the flow and adding multiple additional inspections to slow what is going through even more.
Container freight insurance has gone up 216% for any freight going into or out of the US, citing serious trade tensions causing major disruptions.
Huge area of each of these ports are full of US containers full of goods that aren't going anywhere, while other ships in transit have been forced to change where they were going because they can no longer get unloaded or loaded at any of these major international ports. This, in turn, has forced suppliers to change freight movements from their factories or warehouses, to travel a lot further to a port that will handle US cargo .... or simply cancel the contracts.

Many countries are changing their supply routes to BRICS supporting nations to avoid having to deal in anything to do with the USA.

Trumps isolationist policies are working, he is isolating the US from the world economy .... The 2025 Project and the Heritage Foundation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025 is who is really calling the shots, they just tell Trump what to do .... and he is not the sharpest tool in the box, so he believes everything they tell him and this will get the USA back on track .... but their track, not the track that will benefit all on the US citizens, just the rich ones .....

Seems they didn't think about the rest of the world not being reliant on the US economy, or being forced into only dealing in the USD, and now it's seriously looking like there will be no way back from the mess they have made.
So many grass roots US companies are pulling up stumps and moving else where, there will be very little industrialisation remaining in the US to employ all the people.
With no money coming in to pay all the great plans they had because the citizens won't have any money to pay the tariffs, and no export revenue or tax $$ flowing in, the rich who thought they were laying the groundwork for a great time of prosperity for themselves may have shot themselves in the foot .... destroying the US while they were at it ......
Best be prepared for the next great depression, this time there will be a lot more hungry people and they will be far more desperate to get their hands on what those who have put something aside and built up as a safety net.
Unlike the last great depression, people these days aren't prepared for what it will mean to do it tough ....

Correct, T1.
Just watched a video listing 10 US states where COCA COLA has shut down its factories.
Apparently the company is moving its manufacturing OUT of the country — not IN!
Don Taco’s tariffs in action. 🙄

So let’s see if we can make sense of today’s news from Trumpistan…

1. A peaceful protest against the arrest of hundreds of non-American-born people (who may or may not be in the country legally) from worksites where they need a GOVERNMENT ISSUED Green Card (work permit) is an “insurrection against the US Government” and justifies the President overriding the State Governor and calling out the National Guard — armed with long guns, teargas and flash grenades.
2. The storming of the National Capitol on 6 January 2021 by people armed with steel batons, baseball bats, flagpoles and anything handy — resulting in the deaths of two policemen and injuries to about 18 others — in which the mob threatened to hang the Vice President and House Speaker… that was a “day of love” which should be celebrated. No need for the National Guard, and the rioters ‘unfairly convicted’ by radical leftist judges should be immediately pardoned to be celebrated as heroes — according to Don Taco.

Right. I think I’ve got it now.
Right is wrong and wrong is right.

So true!
The actions of a few have been called out by the majority as “hurting our cause” and have called on them to stop the violence.
A suspicion is growing in my mind that perhaps Don Taco has ‘suggested’ that the Proud Boys — or a similar group — attend the PEACEFUL rallies and stir things up a bit.
The predictable response would be heavy police presence, escalating to the National Guard, (true so far) then the Marines, (an odds-on bet) leading to a declaration of Martial Law… which means Don Taco becomes an ABSOLUTE DICTATOR with the suspension of the Constitution.

Anyone willing to bet against me? 🤔

ps. Remember Germany 1936, Italy 1934 before laying down your money…

That very much depends on how far it escalates ...... If it turns into a shoot-em-up like things often do over there, and there are a lot of very angry and disillusioned people who can actually shoot straight ..... and have plenty of weapons on hand that would make a biker gang over here envious, it could turn into an absolute blood bath very quickly .....

DJT has really stirred everyone up and I don't think he realises just how deeply the people are hurting over there ...... to be rounding up violent gang members from Home Depot .... he must think the average American is really gullible ... he has lied so much in his short time in the big chair, failed to actually produce any of his election promises, I'd be surprised if the law enforcement doesn't start to have second thoughts about gunning down their own people, especially after the way he simply released those who attacked the federal seat of the USA and didn't support the law enforcement that turned up to that event .....

I am so glad I was born and raised here in Australia, can you even imagine being over there now ......

Dottie,
Fortunately, in Australia we have a REAL democracy (unlike a certain country currently hogging the headlines). 😉
That means people can choose for themselves where and when they travel.
All the gummint can do is warn the travellers about possible/probable dangers if they choose to travel to certain countries.
If said travellers are stupid enough to travel to a war zone or a hotbed of terrorism, the travel insurance companies will see that they are financially responsible for their own safety and health.
The government can only penalise them if/when they return and are found to have participated in combat or terrorism while OS.
