Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good timing for you to escape to the bus Dot. I love the idea of just disappearing while the place gets painted, but make sure that you are warm enough. I'm sure Brian will make sure to keep you warm. xxxx

Ray, chicken soup is a huge mix of as many different veg I have at hand. Saute up some onion and about three cloves of crushed garlic. Add the chicken and veg, chopped fairly small. Tasty stuff gets added now. Half a bottle of beerenbergs mango lime chilly sauce, a glug of honey and a slurp of soy sauce, cover with chicken stock. Simmer for a couple of hours, after about three or fours hours, meat will be tender. About half an hour before serving add a handful of rice noodles to soak up some of the waters. Don't be generous with the rice noodles, they swell up a lot.

The physio was interesting. She told me that the bones are all in the right places and it's definitely tendonitis, caused by someone overdoing the exercise before we went to Adelaide. I have been doing too much since and that's why it has not gone away totally. I will now be doing less exercise and being more careful of how I walk when out n about. The good news is that she can't see the need for any more surgery, so I am relieved totally.

Still no caravan as yet. They rang to say that the assessor has yet to be finalising his report because they are waiting on the axle man. I did mention that we have 50 caravans in our club and their delay won't look good in our (non existent) news letter. Had no effect. I was told to be patient.

nighty night xxx

Good evening from Liverpool UK. We have just got back to the hotel, after visiting the Cavern. The club that the Beatles and a few other bands made famous. I'm knackered. Haven't danced that much for years. It's raining here now, but we all had a great night.
Early start tomorrow.
Cheers

Dave you two sound like you are having a great time, dancing the night away and being played to by a bagpiper that swore  I have been sleeping in the bus last few nights, The painters did 1/3 of the house and all those windows are open cuz the paint smells, Deborah in the bus we have air con plus the deisel heater and electric blanket so I reckon I was better off than G as he stayed in the house mainly because the painters come at 7am ans as you know that isn't me or Brian. I am back inside till they come back next Friday. G and myself will now have the time to put things back in the done rooms and the paint will be dry. Then tomorrow we will start on getting the next areas ready for them. So far they have done a good job. BOB's last night was good one of my boys won the stage (The Pog) he blitzed all on the steep part . Tonight and tomorrow night are the last 2 stages and will be up in the snow and clouds in the Alps, brrrr. Deborah nice to hear you were the cause of your knee woes and no damage has been done so take things easy.I will be doing the washing in the bus as the laundry still smells a bit. Had a real heavy downpour today so the fire is pushing out some good heat. Wouldn't mind it being Summer,Hope everyone is happy and healthy and safe on the roads . Bernie all the best for your son. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight RossP x :D

We are having a great time Dot. We are now in a little village just out of Galway in Ireland. We have been in 3 countries today. Woke in England, drove down through Wales to the ferry terminal at Holyhead, via the place with the longest name in the English language. Both Terrie and myself had our luggage randomly selected to be inspected and we were both frisked by the customs officers. Note to self- DO NOT let your bags be the last ones put on the bus. They are easy targets for inspection
We've had a look around Galway and tomorrow we are off to Limerick and Cliffs of Moher.
We have just watched the last half of the Birthday Parade for King Charles III. That is what we saw the Horseguard etc practising when we were wandering around London a fortnight ago.
You have to hand it to the poms, they do pomp on the next level.
Cheers

Dottie,
Bad news on the BoB front:
Michael Matthews is off Jayco’s TdF roster with a pulmonary embolism! 😲
Serious stuff. Life-threatening if not treated immediately.
He has stopped ALL physical activity and been bundled off to hospital pronto.
Hoping all goes well for him. 🤞
Been off this forum for a coupla daze… viztas staying the w/end en route to Qld for a month or two.
Wish we were going with them. Treatment takes priority. 😩
Overnight temp last night was 1.2*. 🥶 Max was 13*
We have had both the reverse cycle on ‘heat’ AND the log fire going the last few days… 🥶🥶🥶.

Anyway Dottie, enjoy the BoBs and goodnight.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Thanks for that info Ray, oh boy does he need to get that sorted really soon.PE not to be sneezed at, he had a good chance as well. Deborah will be disappointed. The paint is dry and looks quite good, nothing stands out apart from it is fresher. Am going to leave the furniture all tucked up and I will get the carpet cleaner in to do the carpets and tiles while I am in the messy mood. Bus will have tenants for a while. The op shops will benefit again.Today my son turned 55yrs old. Last night of BOB's and tonight will be all up in the mountains so this will sort the boys out. My boy won last nights stage and he will take the total race win again. Next is the TDF and looking forward to that one. Hope everyone is keeping well and safe. off to bed to watch the last 45ks. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D

Dot, not too disappointed for jayco boys, just happy to see the lad get the best treatment available. Your painting sounds like you have it all under control. Well done mate xxxx

Thinking of you Bernie. Hope the news for your son is good.

As Shirley has said it's bloody cold here. SIngle digits overnight and not much more during the days. At least the sun came out for a while today.

My business re-sorting has almost been finished. Just a few little bits to be finalised. I have found that the new boxes will not take any more plates than the ones I have made, so I guess that means that I can only make more, once I sell some (or give some away).

Still no caravan and no words from the repairer. We were meant to be in Western Sydney this weekend for a crystals weekend. I could certainly have done with some profits, but the price of alternative accommodation was going to cost more than my profits. Heading North for a couple of days soon, for a birthday bash for my sister. That will be enough excitement for this week.

night all xxx
Deborah
