Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

We actually made it to Canberra to meet up with the daughter and her man .. only an hr late :D Only to find that the chosen pub and fine food establishment, is closed on Monday's ..... so coffee and biscuits in the Winnie, till it was time for the bo to get back to his job in finance .... from home on his 'puter ..... being an ex loans manager for that bank, until his back gave out due to sports injuries, seems to land you plenty of work freelancing .....

We travelled on from there to Warri reserve near Braidwood .... and actually arrived be fore dark ..... well, total darkness anyway ..... Thankfully, the MG4 is powering the Air con heating as planned, it is bitterly cold outside, already 0* in the hollow beside the river, so it will definitely drop into the minus number over night.
It dropped to 0* at Jugiong over night and minus 2* in Echuca, daughter said it will drop to minus 4* in Canberra over night  Can't wait to reach the coast, where freezing cold is when it drops to single digits

Good morning everyone. Its just past 6 pm in sunny Dublin. I'm a bit red in the face, as we've just got back to the hotel from doing a tour and the obligatory gift shop inspection at the Guinness Brewery. It's only about 800m from our hotel. The gravity bar on the top floor of the place has the best view of the town. 360⁰ glass dome. The whole place is a tourist trap, but you would expect that. Early on we went to Trinity College and saw the Book of Kells exhibition. That's a great story all by itself. We were then bussed around the town. Dublin is bigger than I had imagined. There's a fair bit of construction going on, but you can see that it probably was necessary.
Don't know yet what tomorrow brings. Safe travels everybody.

I went and borrowed a cuppla sawhorses from one of the neighbours...then when ready I asked next door to give me a lift with the kitchen backing timber...all fell into place 😁 just as I planned... I love it when a plan works..
Looks like your still having fun Dave... and Terry..

What nationality were the jokes about at the drinking establishments you've visited Dave? I'd imagine the yanks would be a good target these days

It must have dropped to minus the minuses last night. The ellecy blanket stayed on 2 all night, and when ever the feet ventured down past the heater elements, it woke me up and I had to fight Coco for a position that allowed me to tuck my feet back up without my back hurting ... cause that was where the dog had attempted to climb inside my skin to steal the warm

It's 11am, or 11:00 Ray time, and it's still freezing cold outside.

Last leg to the Illawarra today ..... 1 more sleep before I'm even more old .....

T1, I was talking to a couple from New Hamshire yesty. Upper east coast blue state. He hinted that things could change for the better after the next election. Nobody is saying much, politically. Who would want to get into a fight when they are on holiday. Lots of American and Canadian drinkers at the Guinness place.
Happy birthday for tomorrow. Being 70 isn't that big of a deal, it's just a good excuse to celebrate that you made it.
Cheers

You haven't reached that milestone yet have you Dave :?

I hope, for the sake of those left in the US who can still think for themselves, that there will be elections held ...... after nature even decided to rain on his Birthday Parade, I'd imagine he will be even more hell bent on revenge on all those that turned out in the rain to protest against him across the majority of the country, and the majority that did turn up to his parade were there to protest and blocked by the security forces, and the few hundred that did turn out, probably wanted their money back ......

"tanks" here---
Have a good birthday Terry.
Stay warm mate. 70 is a good age (from memory)
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
