We have hot water...yaa.. hopefully no more"little" #uck ups for a tad... everything to do with water has been fixed or renewed... house pump Gray water pump boro pump and now the water heater .
Dot.. Carol had a win... but she said she shouldn't have gone.. the seats don't allow for stretching the .
I'll be glad when all this updating is finished... still to put another clear coat on the benches... plus that pesky little sway bar bracket .
Temperature below 2 again this morning I think that's either 3 or 4 days in a row...

We finished another coat of clear on the benches...
Plus the normal gardening duties that one does.
Carol has been walking without aid's... slowly getting better...
I might get a chance to get under the motorhome today and try to get the sway bar bracket in/on... maybe.

I'm going to a sack the council meeting this arvo, they have put the rates up 25 percent... not happy plus garbage bin up 19 percent... taken Off the 5 percent discount for early payment... and so forth...we have the local state member involved as well... plus the media..
I have stopped my fortnightly payment for the rates, and now have that going into another of my account's...no insensitive to let the council make interest on my money
That's my soapbox for today...

$946 Jon that's the base rate... not including the gives and takes...we only get one garbage bin $175 to go to $209...we are rural... but in Biggenden they have water rates plus sewage plus a few others.. they are around $3000 at the moment... most of Biggenden are pensioners... same at Degilbo... people in town will be struggling with the new rate increase...
It's not the money to us just the bad mismanagement from the council... only since the new CEO and mayor took control... hence my presence at the meeting tonight.

Ours are $3000.

inc $500 for bins and 200 for fire services. inc $1000 for pens, fancy paper news letters, brand new nice glossy trucks and cars, and $700 for time arguing why they cant put $30 of soil on the nature strip to fill a hole. The balance goes into something else.

Local disaster management fee..
Natural resources management fee..
Landfill management fee... plus the charge to use the local tip... that's apparently going up 37 percent... and that's for everything...even green waste.
I didn't put them in the base rates, they are the extras.

Arrived at Port Fairy. Motor ran well. Normally starts on turning the key, but not this morning.

Quickly realised that the fuel solenoid wasn't cycling and checked the fuse. Blown. Must have popped it when I was installing power wire for the Starlink Mini.

Time to take Mr P for a walk and he can sniff out all his friends.
