Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Local disaster management fee..
Natural resources management fee..
Landfill management fee... plus the charge to use the local tip... that's apparently going up 37 percent... and that's for everything...even green waste.
I didn't put them in the base rates, they are the extras.
Bernie. Plus a state gov emfr levy $59... don't even know what that is...
MFR stands for Emergency Management Fire and Rescue Levy.
So, it seems both your local council and the govt collect money in case of an emergency, just the local one calls it a disaster management rather than an emergency management ..... Definitely a Qld thing

Arrived at Port Fairy. Motor ran well. Normally starts on turning the key, but not this morning.
Quickly realised that the fuel solenoid wasn't cycling and checked the fuse. Blown. Must have popped it when I was installing power wire for the Starlink Mini.
Time to take Mr P for a walk and he can sniff out all his friends.
Great to hear it all went well ..... what is a Starlink mini? I thought it was a Tesla Roadster that was strapped on the front of the rocket ........ Is this a method of sending a BMW built mini into low orbit?

$450 for the hardware. Plug power in, point to sky, register. $80 per month (Pausable) full super high speed internet connection. Wifi and Ethernet outputs.
Basically 1.5 A4 sheets. Runs off 12-30 v dc
I'll use it when travelling, but also for comms redundancy when we loose power and internet at home.
Plus, can be used when driving. eg it will allow you to connect VoIP phone calls when driving

Good morning.
Nothing important done yesterday.
I along with over 200 people went to the meeting about the excess rates... was a heated meeting at times, the mayor was there...he was NOT going to change his mind proper AH... there was also a meeting at Gayndah with over 300 in attendance... they reckon there would have been more if it was held later... working people couldn't attend...it was at 10 am... the local state member was ins attendance at that meeting...he put up on the www that the rate rise was going to hurt those on basis wage plus the unemployed and those who are on the pension
And thought the council could have done better... there will be more to come about all this... there was more available to council which they didn't apply for from the State government.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Morning everyone.
Yesterday and some of today was taken up with the kitchen Reno... have yet to fully screw or waxit down plus kick boards..
And with a bit of luck I may get back to the sway bar bracket... maybe...
Plus it's Keith's special day...the Garbo will come and take the rubbish
Keep safe.
Bernie.
