Good morning everyone. We had some heavy rain yesty. Over 25mm in the gauge last night. I'll check it again later.
I went to the GP first thing and we sorted out a few ongoing issues, hopefully.
In the afternoon, we visited an old friend who has just moved to another apartment. She needed some help with her landline. Deborah mentioned patience in the Goodnight thread. I used up a couple of weeks of patience while on the phone to Telstra. There is no simple way to deal with that mob. I spent over 2 hours on the phone talking to a few different people. That was fun, not.
We will spend this morning doing a final pack before we head south for a while. There are a few first anniversaries coming up, that nobody is looking forward to. It's nearly a year since the FiL went to God.
Stay out of the rain if you can. It's not looking too promising anywhere. Safe travels all those out and about
Good morning daily

Good morning All. 14* with max of 19* forecast but, also showers at different times during the day.
Just what I didn't want as I had hoped to get some more deck cleaning and recoating done. I have managed to get about 35square metres done over the last couple of days. I've only got about 50M2 to go.
Pink slip for the bus done and dusted, now have to pay the Third Party and Rego before next Monday.

Do you have another vehicle registered using the pensioner concession, or does Julie make so much money and you have so much tucked away, that you don't qualify for a pension at all?Newcastle George wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 11:15 amBernie, The Third Party insurance is $508.90 and the Rego is $793, Total 1301.90 plus Pink Slip $120. The Winnie costs zero for rego and I think $350 roughly for the green slip ..... the insurance with Ken Tames and associates is less than the MG4 for some reason, $1368.
That makes it worth keeping the NSW rego, it is the only state that provides a free rego for pensioners and extends that to a heavy vehicle with private registration ....

Terry, unfortunately, even at 79yo I don't qualify for a pension at all. I even have to pay full price for scipts from the pharmacy.
I aaalso had to pay $342 for Green Slip for the Terios recently.

Re: Good morning daily
Maybe you could apply for a disability pension and name Julie as your carer ...... worth going through the free support people to see if it is possible and take a positive attitude that you deserve one with you ..... that seems to make a huge difference. Because Margaret is not at the pension age yet, I get bugger all $$ wise, but the pension subsidies certainly help a lot .....Newcastle George wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 12:54 pm Terry, unfortunately, even at 79yo I don't qualify for a pension at all. Re: Good morning daily
It rained here in short heavy showers over night, but all gone by morning and all dried away to a warm sunny day ..... just need to find where I left my enthusiasm so I at least collect a bit and fix this radiator hose problem ..... the thought of the headaches returning is making a good excuse to put it off till tomorrow .... but I used that one yesterday ... have to think of another one to cover todays lack of progress
