Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Back this afternoon from a w/e visit with Son-&-Heir, his fiancé & our G’daughter.
Good Family Time!
His ‘acting’ position has now been confirmed as ‘permanent’ 👍😁
His fiancé’s work section is being ‘restructured’… for the fourth time in two years! Three of her senior permanent staff have either left or been reassigned, and the gummint is not replacing them. So their duties are being redistributed among remaining (already overworked) staff. 🙄
Makes her managing tasks even harder.
G’daughter has been promoted in Scouts from Patrol Leader to Section Leader. She has also received a letter from her school principal congratulating her on her study results! 😊
She gets her smarts from me SWMBO! 😉
And her grammar and spelling are top-notch! 😁
Overall, a great weekend. 🥳
Slightly pooped after the drive home, so
Goodnight one and all! 🛌
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Night Ray, hope all goes well with the platelets, why don't they give you a transfusion to increase them?

There has been the gentle pitter patter of rain on the roof of the Winny for a while now. It was quite heavy an hour or so ago.
Ray, I hope that you can get the results you want, so you can continue treatment.
It looks like both Dot and Deborah have passed on saying goodnight tonight. So I'll say, goodnight everyone, and turn off the light. :D
Cheers

Shirley, I was trying to get back to sleep. It was black dark still.
Years ago, if I was at home, I'd have got up and taken Bandit for a walk. Don't have the same inclination any more.

Monday (yesterday) was another deep sleep day, no energy , no nothing, a bit sick of this crap.Got notice that our "rock spider" has applied for the 2nd time for him to get parole in Sept. Do they usually decline the 1st request or do they make the sicko's suffer another year? Well doubt if they suffer much. A bit of news it was Chuck's 80th birthday and had a very small family dinner at their home. All went well but he is not the Chuck we all remember. Tomorrow arvo G seeing the back man for his assessment on what the nerve conduction tests showed, think he may suggest the nerve burning, we;ll see. :D Cold outside again but the bed is warm and cosy so I shall say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Darryl Mc x :D Hope you are doing ok xx P.S. HTFFBO has reported that Paul had his heart op this arvo and is doing well. Not too sure exactly what he had done but it sounded like a stent ??.

Dot, your complaint of no energy is sounding very familiar. I have that every time that I try to do any more than necessary. Try to keep slowly pacing yourself and only doing a few jobs per day. The rest will get done tomorrow. xxxx

Yesterday, I bit the bullet and started on the actual process of putting the pictures into the book to be printed. I had spent days sorting each photo into separate envelopes/files depending on what they looked like and what colours were in the sculpture. The printing programme took six hours to upload all of the photos and then sorted them into the dates that they were taken. So all the last week's worth of work was a waste of time. While the photos were downloading, I was able to get a start on the process. I muddled along until way after 1am and then it was off to the printers and all done. The kids had given us vouchers for the printing, so it was a "freeby" but I elected to use nicer quality paper so had to fork out another $30. I do hope this book comes soon and is as good as it looks on the screen.

Today was a perfect spring day. The sun was warm and no wind, I don't think it will last very long, but it was nice. We decided to head off to ww to do a big grocery shop, the rest of the town must have decided to do the same. The place was crowded. All done for another few weeks, we won't starve now.

Next was a phone call to the caravan repairer and that we very interesting. Most of the parts have arrived at their place and the caravan has been booked in to the local mechanic for the 20th August. That rang some alarm bells. Turns out that the repairers haven't had a mechanic since March and yet they had the audacity to take our van knowing that it needed a mechanic to repair it. It also explains why they took so long to get the assessor report, done by appointment by the mechanic. I requested that they try to get it done sooner than this, but I am not holding my breath. Wont be expecting it back before the end of August now. Any day before that, will be a surprise. I tried to get on to the insurance to warn them of this situation, but I dont have all day waiting for them. All our jayco mob have been warned about them and they will share the details with their friends as well. Never cross a dragonlady!

night all xxx
Deborah

George saw the back man for the results of the nerve conduction tests and it appears there is no real permanent treatment other than try the steroid jabs into the offending nerves in each leg, he said it should relieve the pain at best. Not the results we were hoping for but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Deborah I do hope you let the Insurance people know about that crooked caravan repairers antics. While G was at the Dr's I got back into sorting more stuff out for the op shop. HTFFBO has reported that Pauls op went to plan a
and he is wanting a chocolate cake. A lady friend and her man friend (travelling in their own little vans) with their 2 little dogs he stopped for some reason (a pee) and one of the little dogs hopped out as well unbeknownst to him so he drove off . Met up shortly with lady and then discovered her dog was missing. Went back to last stop and no dog so I think someone has picked it up. Stupid people, should have animals secured and doors shut when you get out. So far no news and the lady is beside herself and as for the man, well say no more. Always the animals that suffer from the rejects of humans. :( OK hope everyone is fit and well and or getting better. Stay safe if on the roads. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

Sad about the missing dog, but it sounds like a case of human stupidity.
Our girls are attached to leads inside the house before being loaded into the car, and when we stop for a “wee break” they remain attached, with the other end firmly held by one or both of us!
They know the routine and do their business virtually on command. They know we don’t get back into the car until they have completed “ablutions”… and they love travelling in the car! 😁

Anyway, it’s 🛌 time.
Good night everyone. Good night Dottie. 🥰

Ray
