Fixed 4 burst LPG hoses today, one still to do tomorrow ..... there are only 6 of them on the thing, but the last one weaves in and out, across and back on the way to the front ..... hopefully that one will hold up until we get back to Mannum ..... but if it comes to the worst, I can make another hose on the way home ......

What, like money  The water leak is often at 15 to 20 psi, no squirty stuff will hold that sort of pressure.
I did use a pressurised tube of bathroom sealer in the water pump seal drain hole on the Ford Cargo diesel engine and drove it back to Mannum from Wollongong, loaded, with the radiator cap loose .... only had to top it up at each fuel stop .....

Can't get to the water pump seal drain hole on the Winnie V10 unfortunately, that would probably seal it enough for the trip home ..... but as long as I release the cap pressure every time we stop, it shouldn't lose too much and can be topped up before we start off again ......

A faulty LPG bowser that didn't click off when the flow limiter triggered ..... it just kept pumping till the pump stalled ..... it used a lot of LPG on the next leg of the trip, thought it must have been a faulty pump at the last stop .... connected the LPG bowser and LPG liquid started to appear under the Winnie ..... the pressure must have been enough to fracture already well aged hoses.

No, problem was well before we left on this trip, attempted to add some LPG in Murray Bridge and the pool was immediately appearing under the Winnie, so the whole trip over was on petrol ..... 1600 plus kms and cost $800 of fuel usage, the first $440 doesn't count because that was a fill from empty to start the trip ....
50 cent/km, could have been worse I guess.

Maybe George can explain about the water pump drain hole and why it's there, why water would be leaking out of it and what would cause that to happen ..... I'll get another scolding for writing a thesis on water pump failures if I try to explain it here......
