Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

362hp and 490ftlb torque at 3,000rpm, all the way out to 5,000rpm, reckon you could handle that Jon?

Good morning.
All this talk about torque has me confused 😜😁

I finally finished the last two kick boards in the kitchen Reno... only one side board to do then my side of the job will be done...
We had a visit from one of Carol's mates...she went home with a bag of orange's and Bok Choy...
I might take the motorhome out for a little run just to see if the sway bar is settled ok...
Nothing planned otherwise..
Keep safe.
Bernie.
PS... it's 2 degrees outside brrr

Good morning everyone, from down near Geelong. It's going to be another 'try to stay warm and dry' day. We had scattered showers through the night. We'll see what the day brings when the sun comes up.
Safe travels everybody
Cheers

Morning all.

Run in to Broken Hill this morning. Then to Mundi in a couple of days. Wondering about the rain next week. Better not.

That's a lot of hp Terry. When yours is running, do you think is will get close?

Yeah, the loss of compression in no.1 cyl only seems to cause a slight miss that can be heard in the exhaust at idle. Once it's spinning, I doubt the compression loss is near as noticeable, even being 12 tonne rolling, the acceleration in overdrive is something else, pass a B double in the length of those short dual lane overtaking lane sections on the Duke hwy, getting 16 mtrs at 12 tonne up to enough speed to pull out and pass a b double requires quite a bit of HP and torque ..... the fact you start at 90km/h and doing 125km/h by the time you get clear and they flash the headlights, says it goes hard when needed.

Your Hino develops 150hp and 350ftlb of torque, on a really good day. The Japanese use really little horses and talk a lot without saying much I think, in reality, if it got 125hp I'd be surprised, the torque, probably around 250ftlb, right at that point where you feel it digging the fingernails in as the rpm falls and then just holds on, not sure if you should go back a gear or it can make that last bit of the climb if you aren't asking too much .... the temp needle starts to climb and if you had a pyrometer, the exhaust temp would be up around the point of making the exhaust manifold start to go red if it could hold it for very long ......

Aren't you limited to 100kph in a heavy vehicle?

Limited is such a broad term George ;) Let's just say, the motorhome does not have a speed limiter .....
