Well, you wouldn't want to do it in SA.

Re: Good morning daily
Hey Bernie did you get what Prof1 said? well done if you did
NC George I have not seen one truck that sticks to the 100kph but the radio is always running hot with the Q Is the barbie hot? and if there are any cops on the road they hear about it around here anyway.
It seems the traffic cops or highway cops don't seem to be bothered about the 100 speed limit.

Dot, it won't be much longer and the hwy patrol won't need to do anything. The average speed cameras will slow everything down. The roll-out of average speed cameras that track both trucks and cars is going along. There are already 4 sets on the Pacific Hwy and another 2 sets on the Hume, in NSW. I know they already pinging cars for point to point speeding in Victoria.
Questions like, is the barbie hot etc are just blokes finding out if the scales are open or not. Big brother is watching. You won't know that you have been pinged until the fine turns up in the mail.

Re: Good morning daily
There are a lot of point to point camera systems out there, and they pick up the ratbags, but to average 100km/h over any distance, you would need to be travelling a lot faster than 100km/h in some of those sections. Young David, on one of his trips over to Mannum from Wollongong for a bit of a break away from problems he was having at the time, received a point to point infringement for 115km/h in a 100km/h zone, 20 kms long ..... there is no way he could have been traveling at 115km/h through some of the bends, at least two were 90* bends turning from one section of road to another ..... he must have been moving in the other parts to average 115km/h ....
When you believe you have maintained 100km/h for a point to point drive, do the maths of time over distance, the average is 80km/h for most drivers, professional drivers of big rigs do better than that, their pay packet depends on it, but you'd have to be an absolute ratbag to exceed 100km/h average in a heavy vehicle .......

Good morning everyone.
Yes Dot I understood T1s words...so much that I didn't get under the motorhome when I got home from a drive to see if anything changed underneath..
Just so I didn't scare the tiny Japanese horses
I have a light that comes on when I get to 97 ks...
And believe it or not...the Speedo is accurate... according to the GPS...
Main reason I didn't get under...I have buggered my back
So I'll have to be a bit careful for a while...
Nothing else went on
Except for the earthquake that hit midway between Gympie and Kingaroy...5.2...we didn't shake as we are on a floating slab...but others on stumps did... but it was loud sounded like two V10 winnys going by on full noise...felt as far away as Stanthorpe...
But you know what's next..it's bacon and eggs day in Degilbo

Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.

Morning All.
Stunning morning here today.
These days, with all the industrial manslaughter laws, transport bosses are crazy to push their drivers. Speed averaging cameras catch a lot in Victoria.
Dot, get Geotge to look up Springers in Qld for the batteries. Good prices and most times, free shipping. That's where Alan gets his.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Nice sunny morning here in Geelong today. Still fresh though. It looks like the rain has given it a rest for a while.
We visited an old friend of Terrie's yesterday. Finished up at the movies. Had a bit of a laugh.
Might have scrambled eggs on toast for brekky. Haven't got any bacon.
Enjoy your day everybody. Safe travels.
