Broke two mirrors in the Fuso, I'm very careful driving around Chinamen ...... I can't afford any more bad luck .....

OK Terry.

It's been going on for over 10 months now. Time to come clean.

This is all just a big joke, isn't it?

Yeah, ya got me, but I managed to keep it going for .... how many posts now

We made it to 25kms before Braidwood before it overheated and stopped .... some goose forgot to put the radiator cap back on ..... so we camped up on the side of the road at the top of a hill, left the park lights on and opened the switch between the start battery and house battery ..... and went to bed 8-)

It sure was cold out that way this morning, filled the radiator, turn the link switch on and ..... had bacon and eggs while the solar charged the battery a bit more ..... fired it up, ran it for 20 mins or so till the water circulated and top up the radiator again .... and continued on our way ..... with the radiator cap on this time

Replacing the plugs and coils made a huge difference to the low rpm operation, what I thought was a transmission problem was actually the failing plugs and coils, keeps pulling all the way down the 1500rpm now .....

Mrs Google missed a turn on the Federal Hwy and had us 40kms out of Goulburn before she came up with a short cut to Gunning ...... didn't mention the near vertical hill, or the dirt road after the hill, but Winnie plugged on up the hill in 1st at maybe 5km/h, dragging all 12 tonne without a worry ..... that section of dirt road is much cleaner now .... seems I also left the drivers window out on the MG, so I'll be busy shovelling that out when we get home.

We arrived at Jugiong camp ground around 2pm, had a top notch T Bone steak at the pub, thick and cook perfectly medium rare .... for $49 I was expecting the rest of the cow to take home on a doggy bag .... but at least when it cooked properly the price is bearable.

Had a few beers with a couple camped close by around their campfire .... headed back to the Winnie to discover it was only 8pm  Out with the 'puter and get online

Terry, your posts are so entertaining! Most of the time I have no idea of what you speak but I realise this is just how you travel (or not) and Margaret is obviously happy with the status quo. Wishing you both happy travels on your life’s journey whatever shape it takes.

Erich’s Oncologist appointment couldn’t have been better. PSA 0 so we hope to be on the road again soon for about 6 weeks travelling to the Tablelands and Cooktown. Home mid to end of Oct. doing it while we can! Safe travels to those out and about.
Cheers

Great to hear Erich had a good report, get out there and enjoy it ..... says Terry who is planning all the things he wants to do once we reach Mannum

I guess it will depend on the fuel numbers when we end this leg of the trip as to whether we:
Just run on petrol and suffer the pain at the pump each time

Do some more research regarding the availability of LPG and the price to decide if maybe deleting the LPG part to give us more bin space might be a good move

Get serious about the hybrid conversion and use the extra room down the centre for batteries
