Hi. We are at Glen Hope rustic camp just outside of Cobar. There were a lot of vans going the other way but no problems.
Also there were a few bus conversions here. Heard they have a company between them that do truck and bus repairs. Cheers JohnYou do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Another nothing day Brian kept me asleep
I think we had a little earthquake tonight, almighty thump sound , the windows rattled.I thought a tree had fallen over but G and his trusty torch went and did the rounds and saw nothing out the ordinary. BOB's not so exciting as 2 of my boys are not in this race, no prangs as yet either.G's leg has a bit of an improvement in the leg but still finding it a bit uncomfortable when laying down. Hey jd, had a text from Glenda and Vic that they are going to call in on their way home from Yorke Pen where they have been holidaying. Looking forward to that as Glenda and I have some great laughs.
Flipped the TV to see what was on, bugger me that movie "snakes on planes" That was quickly flicked. Take care everyone and goodnight x
Goodnight Prof1 where ever you may be x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, hope you are not pushing either one of you too far with your clean up. I wish I had your energy mate, you make me feel so slow. Good to see that you had a slow down day today, we all need those nowadays. Brian is so smart, he knows you need to stop sometimes too. xxxx
John, hope you got a few of the cards from the bus business people. Never know when that info may come in handy over here, with so many bus peoples here. Safe travels mate.
We had a very positive day. The sun was beautiful and bright. The top grass is getting drier but the waterfront end of the yard is still a bit of a quagmire. We only needed to use the top bit. The van came down the drive behind the patrol. We switched to the rav4 and did the tighter turns to get the van into place and she is now settled on her brick patch and we are both smiling. Often the process can take up to an hour with the extra fiddling getting the car and truck levels right and having the van turning just right. Today, everything went the way it should every time, first time, and we are so relieved to see the van home and in her right place.
Next was the kiln jobs. Yesterday's splat is still wonky, so it will need yet another firing to get it better, later in the week will have to do. The big construction piece was started off at midday, with me regularly visiting to watch how the glass was falling. As the kiln reached top temp of 775C, not a single bit of glass had started to drop. I stayed and watched at ten minute intervals. It still took 20 minutes to drop down the way I was hoping for it. Turned the kiln to the next segment so that it was starting to get cooler. While I was fiddling with controller, I left the kiln door open a tiny bit, to get the cooling process started. I heard a whoosh and found some of the tiny bamboo stakes on top of the kiln were alight. Not a huge drama to put them out, but added excitement.
We went down the my shed after dinner, just to check that the systems were all working and they looked pretty good. That kiln door will not be opened again until it's down to room temp, so after lunch maybe.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Nothing much was done today apart from a few wheelbarrow loads of mulch dumped but bending down was not nice so I bought some wood up from the shed while Gman made another shelf to put in the unused kids cubby house to put all of my plastic containers in. Early start again in the morning, G off for his last 2 CT back jabs and I get another chance to let go in the shops by myself. (maybe the big green shed. The new big green shed is nearly ready for their big opening, (the biggest in SA) . The BOB's are doing it hard the road is narrow and really steep. I'm off to the shower then bed so take care if on the roads. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Robert n Bob x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well Dot, did you have an earth quake or did the earth move just for you? Lucky that Brian likes to sleep long and late into the morning. He keeps very respectable hours in my mind. You are going to love all the walking at the hammer shop . We have a small one close by, but when we need variety, we head of to the bigger one. Even now, I need the walking stick for that one.
xxxx
I know you want to see the latest glob Dot, but not ready for publication just yet. I found that the glass must continue to keep dropping, even after the temp has been dropped. The end result was that the glass legs were spindly and nothing like I wanted them to be. I had a bit of saw and hammer therapy and then set the whole lot back up for another firing tonight. Not going to watch it, I learned enough from the experiment yesterday. The mess is back in for another firing with temps and times adjusted and tweaked to keep the shape the way I hope it will be. Fingers are crossed again.
