The last fill we returned 40ltr/100kms,2.5km/ltr, but since we started the app, we have averaged $80 mth in fuel, can't complain about that

I think I might just pay the money for petrol. The greynomad rule is supposed to be 50kms/day, if you do 100kms you have to stop for 2 days and so one, if we averaged $80 mth for fuel, we averaged around 120km mth

If we averaged the 50kms/day, that comes out to $33.60 day at the last fill up price.
$12,265 a yr in fuel, if we only travelled for the next 2 yrs, $25k in fuel, I could buy 85kw of Tino 250w solar panels for that ;) 24 x Tindo 250w panels will fit on the Winnie roof at a cost of $1,800
24 x 40vdc per panel = 960vdc/2 = 480vdc at 14 amps x 5 peak sun hrs = 33kw/h per day charging, 4 days charging would fill the 120kwh battery and drive EV only about 100km, but hybrid, about 250 km to 300kms on flat road in the country with zero braking required.
From the $25k for petrol only, I would have $23,200 to buy batteries and cabling etc .... I'd need to be looking at more than 2 yrs travelling to break even .... but I'd have a very unique motorhome  8-)

The Winnie is dual fuel, I guess I could just drive on petrol and fill up with LPG where the price is better.

The heating the donor bottle is certainly frowned upon in the industry ;) But if it was left in the sun .......

45 ltr bottle holds 90ltrs on gas in liquid form
No so sure about that. Do you mean it holds about 90kgs of liquid LPG?

Hmmmm, a 45kg bottle holds roughly 90ltrs of LPG, that better, LPG weighs 0.51kg per ltr

Doh. my error too .

Yes, a 45 litre bottle holds about 22.5 kgs of LPG (and 45 litres)
or a 45kg bottle holds about 90 litres of LPG

Well, if you consider that we live in Winnie ..... then, yes we are home :D Are we in Mannum yet, no, we are in Manangatang at the free camp, plugged into power, donation at the pub. Time for a shower and across the road to the pub for dinner and maybe a cool drink or three 8-)

LPG was $115.8 at Hay, you beauty, got a whole $36 in and it started leaking on the ground again ..... Filled up with petrol, still 40ltr/100kms, $1.68ltr, cheaper than diesel ;) It was a tad windy come across the plains from Hay to Balranald, finally slowed enough for a B triple to pass so we could save a bit of fuel. Couldn't hold over drive for more that about 5kms, back to 3rd (direct drive) 3,750rpm, then drop to 3,500rpm when the converter lock came in, wind up to 4,000rpm, 110km/h, it would drop back to overdrive, 2,750rpm ... and gradually drop back to 90km/h and 2,000rpm, then repeat ..... at least behind the truck we could hold 100km/h in overdrive .... until we crept up a bit too close and got in the slipstream, straight to 110km/h, drop back and start again
I thought it would be easy with the cruise control, but the truck would hit a head wind or something and drop back to 95km/h and the Winnie would near run up his butt, so it was on/off the throttle for the last 150kms

The 6 hoses didn't solve the gas leak? How many hoses are left to replace?

The hybrid conversion will solve everything.

That's what I reckon too  I remade some of the hoses from an old hose, it got 31 ltrs in until it let go. I didn't open up the doors, I was just so p*ssed off about it I just shut the gas off and went and paid the $36 and did the shuffle to get the Winnie to the other side of the bowsers to empty the bank account into the petrol tank.

The meal at the pub was very good, and the people very friendly, well worth scheduling this stop over into the travel plans if you are out this way.
Open from 4pm everyday but Sunday, but you need 3 long extension cords to access the 15 amp powerpoint. The spot between the rail line and fenced off park seems to be the ideal spot ....

Off to Geranium for the next stop, then Mannum so we can arrive during the day light .... hopefully
