Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Still on R & R Dotty? Go for it mate. xxxx

Ray, that was priceless.

I had so little sleep last night, due to coughing that has kept me awake for the last ten nights. I can't get into our GP for a while, so tried the "Instant scripts" mob. Well, instant it was not. 2 hours later, I finally had a call back from the doctor who proscribes the necessary antibiotics. After only one pill, I am already feeling the internal muck is moving away. I am hoping for a decent sleep tonight.

Went back to trying to book a caravan park for October. No such luck. They just do not reply to phone messages. I finally sent them an email with my requests for a certain site on the necessary dates. If no reply by Friday, I may have to book elsewhere. It's pita because that particular park is close to where we have our event and it's a lovely park. We have stayed there for many years in October, but the last couple of years we have noticed that the sign at reception has said "no vacancy", yet when we enter the park there were empty spaces everywhere. Something doesn't feel quite right. The park is called Edgewater holiday park at Port Macquarie and they had quite a lot of residents in fixed buildings. Maybe they have followed the full on residential thing. Time will tell.

I filled out paperwork (online stuff) for another event with our crystals mob in Gosford, so now we are sure of getting a bit more dough for the business in a couple of weeks time. She had decided to ask for her contract to be filled in for the next 9 months, so that makes my life easier. We seem to be staying away from her events since we had no caravan, but back to business now.

night all xxx
Deborah

Had my 6 weekly dyke cut yesterday, and what a dyke it is  Got a email from the back mans rooms saying how much the out of pocket $$ shall be, I sent reply email for someone to ring me. They did and so I told them that amount was not what the Dr told me because I asked him, (she had quoted just over $1k) that included the theater assistant and admin fees, and the out of pocked for the surgeon. NO I replied the assistant is paid by the surgeon and admin fees are not mine either. Told her to go and ask Dr O about this fee as he told me no more than $500 . Today I got a reply and Dr O said yes to $500 O.O.P. Told her I will pay that fee later on toward the op as they aren't getting 3 mths interest on my $. Another win on the medical belt.. Like I keep nagging everyone stand up to these $$ grubbers. Anyway today I had 1 bale of hay left over so I cut 4 holes in the bale, put heaps of potting mix and Blood n bone in the holes and put the strawberry plants in and watered them in. Shall see how they go... Brian went for his vet check up, vet was pleased with the results of the steroids on his wheezing but Brian's appetite has blossomed and he has put on 200grms so he now is on a restricted amount of his roo meat and nibbles
Tomorrow I have 4 lavender plants to plant then we have an appointment to see a new over 55ers village down at Victor harbor (by the sea) Black spot appearing on the roses so out comes the sprays. Norman has been caught again doing the rumba with his daughter and yep another smashed egg on the floor. Deborah glad you had a nice family gathering. I out did myself today, I made a yummy trifle. Shirley hope you have a good day at the touch footy. Rubbish day tomorrow and I have to sneak out to place some of G's old stuff in the bins. THEN..........................

In the mail today was my medical forms for my MR license returned . G rang and they had dismissed a Q & answer. Q/ Do you suffer from SEVERE depression / mental condition? GP had answered NO. . The 2nd part of that Q/ Do you take medication? and are you taking it as prescribed? to which the gp said yes which contradicted the first part the question was not well constructed a phone call to service sa has given us a somewhat convoluted solution. So now see GP when she is back, they gave us an extension and that's the gist of it. I do suffer depression but NOT severe. Grrrrr So that's my day.
So on that note I shall say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bruce with thanks x :D

Good afternoon, perfect weather day for the touch footy, our kids won a couple of games, they didn’t get into the semi or grand final, played their best just beaten on the day.
The day was organised by the local Aboriginal group as a social sporting event 8 school participated, it started with a smoking ceremony to clear all demons from the souls, it was over the top continued for over half an hour before touch footy started, each kid had to gather smoke in their hands let it go in their face & breathe it in :o the kids all enjoyed the free sausages, poppers, bottles of water & fruit at lunch time, I had to leave & go to the local shops & purchase eye drops, Oliver had a severe allergic reactions to one of his eyes, just thought it may have been from the smoking ceremony :?

I'm with you Shirley. I think some of the welcome to country events turn into an excuse to give us white fellas a bit of a lecture.
I don't mind the ceremony, just spare me the lecture, and don't charge the world for it.
Cheers

Will sign up next week. But no circumcision ceremony needed thanks. I have a door mat that says "Welcome to my home", does that count? Went down to Victor Harbor to see the sales person re the over 55 er's village, their big block size was 450 mts that did it and only certain houses on certain blocks, the expensive blocks are the ones facing Nth? Sth aspect the smaller cheaper houses are all facing Sth / Wst and no options on orientations. Think we may change our minds, Oh $200 for gardener for your front yard = What? Nice day for a beach visit and all the op shops we visited = no real bargains either. Saw a mans jumper for $150, because it was cashmere BUT still 2nd hand. The little honey eater baby birds have flown the nest, only took a couple of weeks if that since they were naked. Just as we were about to turn into our driveway I spotted a girl walking a Doberman as normal the brakes were suddenly applied, I jumped out yelling You Hoo! and shuffled over the road and had a beautiful kissies with the beautiful big black boy, he was so loving and yes I had a few watery things appear from my eyes. Such a happy chappie I am now. Time to say Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Deborah x :D

Dot, do you really think that you would be happy in a regimented old farts village? You'd be watching your money go down the gurgler faster than water and how much of the house do you really own? Been listening to a mate who moved to one and he is happy to part with his money to have the tiny patch of dirt mowed etc. Not for me. xxxx

Shirley, I don't know how the whole school can claim aboriginality, but the principal would love all the extra funding that the school would get. The Entrance PS was one where the boss would actively get parents onto the lists, but I felt that he was happy to lie about too many things. Good that he moved on, but don't know what happened to the "indigenous" kids. As for smoking ceremonies, I am highly allergic to any smoke and in bushfire season, I live on antihistamines and strong eye drops as well. Glad that you had a good time.

Today was another beautiful day in paradise. The house was even opened up for the warm air to invade our space. I was woken at 8am by the caravan park telling me that their phones have been out for a week. Our booking was confirmed and all is forgiven.

Next phone call, just after 9 was the solicitor's receptionist asking us to change our appointment due to him being in court. That's ok. We will still be changing our wills, but not until next Thursday now. Just means that I have tomorrow for more jobs to get done.

I have had a request for some wine bottle cheese plates, so that has been the task in the shed today. A couple are being fired tonight and probably another couple tomorrow. Most of my time was spent cleaning off the labels and glue residue. If not done properly, the glass looks crap. I did find the stash of dark green glass, to get ready to make some Christmas trees, so the next few days are already under construction.

🤔
“The Fires of Hades” perhaps?
😁
… or maybe just “The Glass House”. 🫤

For comparison, my woodworking shed is called “Ray’s PlayPen”. 🙄😁
