T1,
How’s your carpentry skills?
If the answer is “RS”, do you know anyone who has some experience with plywood?
My suggestion is to make a mirror image of the cavity formed by the internal steps — a stepped box which drops into the steps and creates extra flooring over the cavity.
Either a pair of rope handles or two low profile handles on the sides to pick it up.
No slot grab-hole: too dangerous.
Then you can pick it up, turn it upside down and place it outside.
You can work out for yourself where, how and what type of handles suit you.
SIMPLES! 😁
ps. If you want, you COULD hinge the top/floor panel (must also be latched!) and use the box for storage of LIGHT items which can survive being inverted! ie. NOT lamps or fragile stuff.
pps. It might be a bit complex (since when has that stopped you?) but you might be able to work out a hinging arrangement to permanently mount it to the bottom step! 🫤 Of course, that assumes a consistent height to ground level…
Regards & God bless,
Ray

What is an R.I. Dottie? Makes it hard to finish it if I don't know what is

Yesterday afternoon and today was spent assisting the replacement of a W7 inverter with a Victron Multiplus in an install we did over 6 yrs ago .... so a reasonable life for a cheap inverter I guess.

The Inlet and Outlet sockets arrived and I started installing those beside the door to make it easier to both charge the MG using a combination of mains power and inverter power, as well as feeding the 7kw from the MG through the inverter so it can both charge the house batteries if needed and the inverter assist the house load if it ever exceeds 7 kw, by boosting it up to 12kw ..... although, I doubt very much if that would ever happen.
By placing the outlet beside the inverter for charging the MG, means it no longer sends the power to the Winnie electrical cupboard, then back to the power point, seriously overloading the system. This way it will go from the inlet, through the inverter and back out again, the 15 amp supply for the Winnie system will remain separate ....

I've only just realised that one of my posts have disappeared. I made it just before the forum server crashed. It refers to a link to various types of Kwikee Power Steps.

There is also a link to the whole page that I found.
I hope that can help with the conversion of your two step to three step project.

Ahhh..... So you broke the forum ;)

Went to look at a possible house purchase, from the outside, viewing is tomorrow, but no where to park the Winnie so probably a no go. Then we went and measured up our thoughts on the house and workshop on the Purnong Rd block so Margaret got a better idea of just how much we could fit on the block ....... looking like it will cost an arm and a leg to build, probably both my arm and leg  but it would be what we want ....

I was a bit concerned that it was me that killed it, but I'm not that clever.
